"Atrial Fibrillation and Acute Decompensated Heart Failure" is a great example of a paper on the cardiovascular system. Atrial fibrillation is a heart condition that mostly affects people who are under the influence of alcohol. It has several causes including hypertension, that is, high blood pressure. The disease makes a patient develop some abdominal pain that makes the patient very uncomfortable. Poor lung condition is also a cause disease among other causes (DiMarco, 2014). The heart of the patient usually pumps fast leading to difficulty in breathing. In its acute stage, the conditions need to be diagnosed by a specialist in order to protect the patient from possible death.

The specific in managing the disease will be to reduce the chances that may lead to death. Other goals of diagnosing the disease include treating hypertension, stabilizing the patient’s heartbeat so that the patient can breathe without difficulty, and other conditions that she explains to the doctor.

The drug therapy for the patient needs to be in line with the disease affecting the patient. After careful consideration, the drugs that need to be administered to the patient such as pain relievers and drugs that would help to stabilize the heartbeat of the patient. Aspirin is the recommended pain reliever (Zimetbaum, 2014). Since the atrial fibrillation may be a result of the growth of another disease such as diabetics, the treatment of such disease would help in the recovery of the patient.

The management of the rate at which the heartbeat can be scaled by the use of a beta-blocker. This instrument will help to make sure the desired heartbeat has been attained, and the patient gains back her normal breathing.

From the prescribed therapy, the patients need to be educated on the guidelines that they must follow when taking certain drugs that would help in full recovery (Rosenthal, 2014). The guidelines are essential especially to the outpatient who takes the drugs at home. Since our patient is an outpatient, she needs proper guidelines on how she would take the drugs for a full recovery.

There are some side-effects that are accompanied by the Quinidine that is used as an antiarrhythmic in AF. It sometimes leads to diarrhea and cinchonism which is headache and tinnitus. Moreover, the drug causes thrombocytopenia.

A second-line therapy would be necessary for the patient if the first one did not produce an effective control of the disease. The second-line therapy would entail the patient’s chance of habits such as food and drinks that are directly connected to the disease (American Herat Association, 2014). Having a healthy diet will give the patient strength and drop the chances of being affected by the drug.

Alternative medication that can be administered to D.G is Amiodarone (Zimetbaum, 2014). Therefore, this is an effective drug that can be administered to patients on chronic. A dose of less or equal to 200mg daily can be affected.

D.G need to leave any habit concerning smoking and drinking alcohol. She should consider eating a healthy diet and doing some exercise on a daily basis to improve her condition.

The interaction between the food taken by the patient and the food she takes may be of great concern. The food eaten such as alcohol may react with the drug administered and cause more harm to the patient. Therefore, it is advisable that the patient takes some safe food for quick recovery.
