The interviewer should apply the best channel to ensure they create a positive and non-biased approach in the interview session.  In this regard, they should know how to ask questions relating to ethnicity, culture, and religion amid others. For instance, they should tactfully handle questions relating to cultural practices. It is because some edifying practices absolutely harmful and they require professional attention. On the other hand, questions based on ethnic should be managed properly because some people value more their ethnic than national origin. On the same issue, interviews should have the best approach when assessing the background and acculturation of an individual. For instance, if the interviewee is from a minority background group, the interviewer should root the essential information regarding that culture and acculturation. Moreover, it is significantly important to know how the interviewees retain their culture (Bickley & Szilagyi, 2003).

Ethics is the moral values that guide an individual against the bad and the wrong. An ethical framework is employed during interviews by the interviewer to help them identify the right person during the interview session. In this regard, the ethical framework guides the interviewer to the reason for principled review in terms of risks and accountability. Moreover, interviewers are accountable in case anything occurs in relation to the lives of the interview participant. Due to this, the interviewers to assist in identifying the possible hazards that they may be introducing, and how they personally take accountability when they are addressing the potential risks introduce ethical frameworks. In addition, the ethical framework provides essential principles of ethical practice to be used during an interview session by the interviewers (Institute of Medicine Committee on Crossing the Quality Chasm, 2006).

For instance, the basic principle of ethical practice insists the participant should be informed t earlier than they take part. The participant should be aware of the possible hazards before they commence to take part. The interviewers should not pile pressure on individuals to participate; they should respect the participant's autonomy, avoid causing harm, maintain anonymity and confidentiality, and have certain care during the interview with vulnerable groups.  For proficiency during the evaluation and the quality of the patient data, precaution should be taken when assessing and recording the information. This is because studies have shown that psychiatric assessment is easily compromised amid patients lacking interpreters. This mostly occurs to the psychiatric patient who lacks an interpreter making them use open-closed questions and philanthropic brief replies (University of Leicester, 2007).

 In the same context, patients strut more often in English than in their native language.  Due to this, the patients endorsed symptoms in English, but denied them in their language; this greatly affects the evaluation of the patient’s data. In order to curb the challenges arising due to language misunderstanding, staff members can provide proficiency in evaluating the quality of the patient data. In addition, health care facilities should devise a strategy to recruit staffs that are conversant with the patient’s language. In the same context, the staff should act as interpreters between the patient and the nurses’ plays a greater role in getting efficient of the patient data. This plays a role in ensuring that the provisions of quality health care in the psychiatric department are established (Ortega & Faller, 2011).
