The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) has been instrumental in the implementation of healthcare in America and is popularly called Obamacare. I, therefore, believe allocation of resources in terms of national policy should reach the majority through numerous methods worth highlighting. First, the national policy enjoys the prerogative of the guaranteed issue in the provision of pre-existing conditions to offer minimum standards in regards to health insurance (Foster, 2010). This implies that stakeholders and policymakers should enact goals that are in tandem with subsidies that favor ordinary citizens. Overall, a set level of resources determines the exchanges accorded to both small businesses and individuals in form of health insurance.

Provision of Medicare through the platform of public insurance programs is another integral step toward assisting a wider base of people. This is because it is connected to subsidies that favor those with low income particularly when one is not covered by Medicaid or any other health plan. Accordingly, while longevity continues to be witnessed amongst most citizens, it is because of reform negotiations that are characterized by affordable healthcare for all (Gray & Sullivan, 2011). According to the health insurance plan, reducing the uninsured rate is the first fundamental step of expanding coverage because it caters to the total costs. Likewise, the rates offered to the majority is uniform meaning it does not discriminate based on other pre-existing conditions or even sex (Copeland & Carey, 2011). Contrastingly, during the implementation of the (PPACA), for instance, the majority enjoy more privileges as opposed to the individual mandate. It is because insurance standards are cross-cutting, thus, tackling coverage for contraceptives and reforms in personal insurance plans.
