"What Is Hepatitis: Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments" is a perfect example of a paper on viruses. HIV and AIDS is the main health issue faced by the world at present. We can see that millions of people are affected by HIV/AIDS. AIDS is a disease that is sexually transmitted and has been recognized in the year 1977. According to (Mandal,2013) “AIDS stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome and is the final stage of the infection caused by the virus called HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus”. It is most evident in African countries where hygiene is less prevalent. The disease is spread among people who have sexual relations with multiples partners and homosexuals who do not use protection.  As per ( CDC,2013) “Too many gay and bisexual men with HIV—more than one-third—are HIV positive and don't know it”. Protected sex is the only way to avoid AIDS or HIV. However, there is another way of getting the infection and that is by blood transfusion or other unhygienic medical procedures.

The best way to protect oneself from HIV/AIDS is to have protected sex and be cautious with whom one has sex. It is also important to be cautious and hygiene while having medical procedures and treatments. To understand the effect of the disease on people research is important and data can be collected in many ways. Information can be collected from hospitals regarding the frequency and number of patients admitted. Information can be collected from other non – profit organization and international organization which has credible data about the disease. Facts from the internet and books are also reliable to a certain extent. And it is necessary to educate the people in the community about the disease and we learned this by attending many functions related to AIDS awareness.

Like AIDS, hepatitis is another disease that is infectious and affects the liver. According to(MNT, 2009) “Hepatitis means injury to the liver with inflammation of the liver cells”. There are two types of them which are hepatitis A and hepatitis B. Hepatitis A is an infectious disease spread through contaminated food or water through fecal or oral route. Hepatitis B is transmitted through bodily fluid mainly sex. For the purpose of educating the population, we planned projects like circulating pamphlets and booklets among people in the community. Also, we organized a meeting with the young and middle-aged population to discuss matters relating to the disease and also planned to showcase a documentary about the facts of HIV/AIDS.

As a part of the project we attended seminars and workshop happening in the city in relevance to HIV/AIDS. We collected much information regarding the information from these events and also cleared many doubts we have in relation to HIV/AIDS. After collecting information we conducted group activates which were to discuss the important points about the disease and how to proceed about implementing the projects and factors to make the awareness successful. We considered each other’s opinions and decisions and designed a work plan regarding the project. Moreover, we discussed the ways in which the disease can be prevented. The best way thought to be prevented from the disease is to be having protected sex and avoid unhygienic sex. Checking needles while medical procedure and tattoo is a way to prevent the disease and checking the blood for any infectious content.
