"Foot Ulcer and Diabetic Infection" is a decent example of a paper on infections.
Foot ulcer refers to a condition whereby the skin is broken and there develops a wound either on the toes or the bottom of the foot. This is based on the study of “ American journal of surgery” This condition is most prevalent in patients suffering from diabetes and according to research. (Mouës, 2011) Due to the high prevalence of the disorder the journal addresses that patients should ensure both standard and negative pressure treatment be given hence it's a credible source. Thus, our PICO question for this study will be, Do adults with foot ulcers benefit from negative pressure treatment versus standard treatment to reduce diabetic infection?

According to diabetic foot infection article review, negative pressure treatment uses the technology of a vacuum controlled environment whereby liquids forming in ulcers are sucked to prevent swelling in wounds. It has proved to be efficient in the treatment of foot ulcers Practice of this new way of treatment has shown that patients benefit a lot (Mary,2012) this study is credible because it brings forth information that should be out there so as to help patients receive such kind of treatment which is very efficient. On this basis, it has proven a big deal in benefiting adults suffering from foot ulcers as compared to standard treatment.

Diagnosis and management of the diabetic foot talks of a cure method that ensures that the amount of discharge from the wound has been minimized hence healing quickly. The credibility of this journal comes into place because when a wound or ulcer in the foot for this matter lacks treatment it can be fatal increasing chances for further bacterial and fungal infections leading to chronic diabetic infections. From this information, we deduce that negative pressure treatment is of great benefit to patients putting the standard treatment in mind (Edgar, 2013)

On the contrary, according to “Tropical and biological therapies for diabetic foot ulcers” standard treatment such as wound dressing and cleaning with antibiotics also benefit patients suffering from foot ulcers as compared to negative pressure treatment. ( Richmond, 2013) this type of study acknowledges that one cannot really in a specific method of treatment of chronic ulcers since it is vital to fight it maximumly and offer patients benefits in terms of reducing pain and other discomforts. This clearly shows that the study was based on patient benefit without doubts.

"An Algorithm for Limb Salvage for Diabetic Foot Ulcers" portrays that negative pressure treatment assists in blood circulation in the infected area increasing the chances of the ulcer healing at a higher rate. However, increased gels that are applied to the wound have enhanced the efficient means of standard wound treatment thus the credibility of the study. It does not moisten the wound a lot thus creating a conducive environment for the wound to heal. Based on the above evidence it is clear that this study falls on the hierarchy of creating a hygiene condition around the infected regions which benefits patients by low chances of other diabetic infections.
