Ethics in Health Administration - Essay Example

"Ethics in Health Administration" is a perfect example of a paper on medical ethics. My personal code of ethics is derived from the principle of reaching out to the needy and helpless through the healthcare domains that have thus been planned. This is on the lines of the ACHE code of ethics. This will assist the people at large and give them an assurance that nearly all actions and tasks are designed to support their very basis. This is one of the best ways through which their healthcare settings can be improved and there would be many takers of one such equation if seen within the right perspectives. The code of ethics for my sake would revolve around the basis of understanding that people should be treated with regards to their health conditions and priority must be given to the severity of the illness irrespective of which patient belongs to whatever community, race, or creed (Morrison, 2011). This will immensely take care of the looming issues which come about within the realms of healthcare disparities and aim at tackling the nuances which should ideally come under my personal code of ethics, derived from the ACHE code of ethics (Owen, 1990).

I am confident that a concerted effort needs to be put in to make sure that this code of ethics is comprehensive from all angles and it covers a range of topics that would seem missing within any field in this day and age. Also, this code of ethics would entail discussions on leadership and how it is able to showcase my true mettle through decision-making tenets and so on and so forth. This would mean I would have to manage people under my realms properly and take care of their steps in a way that can only be remarked as based on empathy and understanding. If this is done, one should believe that my personal code of ethics has a very solid foundation within the ACHE code of ethics and there are no pending issues that exist within its entirety (Wheatley, 2006). I will have to safeguard these issues from cropping up every now and then, and this can only take place once I know for certain that I am doing well for the cause of society at large.

From an ACHE code of ethics viewpoint, mine is also a code of conduct as far as the members of the healthcare regimes are concerned. They must know for sure that these problems can be resolved if there are endeavors to set things right within a set period of time, and that too with a good heart. The personal code of ethics must make sure that the resolve is there to set things right so that the community benefits from these actions and undertakings. My code of ethics would bank on what I have learned within the field of medical science and how I can give it back to society without expecting anything in return. This is the best form of dedication that one can show to the people who live with them.

Therefore my personal code of ethics would be based on sound beliefs and I will always encourage others to follow this pattern nonetheless. It will take care of the ambiguities and deficiencies which already exist within the healthcare settings.
