Job Profession Assignment a) Summary of the Identified Three Professions Health Care Administration Health Care Administration is regarded as the study of maintaining the patients’ reports, monitoring the financial records and scrutinizing the administrative works among others. It is often considered to be a significant area of study as it principally emphasizes upon improving the health of the patients as well as performing effective healthcare related operational functions. The tasks related to healthcare administration are duly performed by the healthcare administrators who mostly perform their assigned tasks within specific healthcare institutions. However, they also have to render their services in different places such as in different agencies of medical health and rehabilitation centers among others. It is in this regard that the role of the healthcare administrators have been aligned with the managerial functions to coordinate, plan, manage and organize the distribution of medical activities. Hence, the healthcare administrators are also regarded as the managers of health services paying their sole attention upon the deliverance of quality healthcare to the patients. In the current day context, the healthcare administrators are employed not only in the administrative centers of healthcare institutions but also in various departments including surgery centers, clinics of the physicians and also in different environmental, social service as well as international health related agencies. In most of the instances, owing to the significance of the functions assigned to a healthcare administrator, the professionals are entitled to possess a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Healthcare Administration in order to pursue the occupation. The different areas which are duly covered in a healthcare administration program include Mathematics, Physical Science, Communications, Social Science, Public Health, Anatomy and Physiology. The recent trends depict that the demand for professionals who are specialized particularly in the field of healthcare administration, is increasing rapidly in today’s advanced as well as complex healthcare setting. Owing to the increasing demand for efficient healthcare administrators among the medical institutions, the competition amid the potential professionals has also augmented to a considerable extent. Thus, not only the educational qualifications, but personal and interpersonal skills of these professionals have also emerged to be crucial as differentiating aspects. Correspondingly, the healthcare administrators should possess intellectual abilities and effective communication skills to effectively organize the functions of the various healthcare institutional dimensions. Moreover, they should also possess leadership skills to encourage their peers and subordinates towards delivering efficient healthcare facilities to the patients (American Dental Education Association, 2012). Health Information Technology The Health Information Technology programs are principally constructed with the intention of educating and assisting the medical graduates in developing as technicians who shall be entitled to control and manage healthcare information effectively. The assigned tasks or duties of a health information technician include examining as well as analyzing health related data electronically, assembling the health information of the patients after recording the data accurately. It is worth mentioning in this context that the data obtained tends to determine the correctness of the medical treatment provided to the patient and therefore, its accuracy becomes a significant concern for medical practitioners. Hence, the technicians must also possess excellent communication skills along with adequate knowledge and experience in technologies. To be precise, it can be affirmed that healthcare information personnel or technicians perform a major responsibility of managing as well as organizing the information system in a manner which complies with the factual concerns of healthcare services. In addition, maintaining the medical records of the patients is also one of the significant tasks of the healthcare information technicians. Traditionally, the technicians were generally observed to work in different shifts having minimum or no interaction with the patients. However, in today’s phenomenon, the technicians need to interact with the patients as well as every other member engaged with the data collection process which certainly makes the functions assigned to the professionals a complex process (U.S. Department of Health & Human Service, n.d.). Medical Office Management The medical office management program has been fundamentally structured for developing the professionals as medical administrative specialists. The various responsibilities of a medical administrative specialist include collecting as well as recording payments, properly arranging the admissions of the patients in the healthcare institution and aiding the new patients with accurate and adequate information. It has often been depicted in this regard that the medical administrative specialists should be efficient in communicating and must acquire adequate knowledge for implementing the medical software systems. These necessary skills are expected to ultimately support the medical administrative specialists to successfully and competently perform their assigned job responsibilities. Alike the healthcare information technicians, the medical administrative specialists are often identified to work in different shifts to manage their routine activities associated with delivering effective healthcare benefits to the patients incessantly (AMT, 2011). b) Ways To Collaborate or Interact With the Individuals There are several ways by which collaboration or interaction with the individuals belonging to the professions of healthcare information technology, medical office management and healthcare administration can be developed. In this regard, the commonly implement strategies include enhancing as well as promoting the participation of the professionals in different agency activities, delivering explicit and valuable information regarding their assigned responsibilities and optimizing as well as developing apt communication tools for their assistance on the job. One of the important strategies which have proven to be quite beneficial to interact or collaborate with the professionals can be identified as the development of effective communication with them. In general, the feature of communication is fundamentally described as the exchange of valuable facts and ideas. In relation to the background of healthcare settings, forming effectual communication in order to perform collaborative planning as well as activity involves interactions with the professionals concerned with the aforementioned healthcare segments. These ways of collaborating or interacting with the individuals can be expected to deliver a valuable contribution in assisting the framed healthcare structure with increasing efficiency. Moreover, the interaction or the collaboration with the individuals would endorse the provision of sufficient information that shall further contribute in disseminating a transparent as well as an explicit message towards resolving complexities in healthcare settings (European Medicines Agency, 2011). c) The Process of Interaction with Other Health Science Professional In an environment of healthcare, it is quite possible for an individual to interact with other health science professionals relating to various fields. With regard to the procedure of interaction with other health science professionals, it can be stated that the rising complexities in healthcare settings can be minimized by a significant level. In this similar context, one of the significant procedures of interaction with other healthcare professionals is organizing and incessantly developing training programs. By conducting the training programs, one can better prepare to interact with the health science professionals. This is because the individuals may know one another quite well and can together work upon in different problematic situations. The other procedures of interaction with other health science professionals include periodically visiting their workshops, observing their work procedure and viewing their mode of training about how the trainees are trained by the professionals of health science. It is quite important to interact with health science professionals because they significantly deal with the modern legal processes as well as enthusiastically take part in the legal systems of healthcare. Moreover, the interaction with the professionals belonging to health science is much critical for the purpose of aiding the patients in developing their healthcare. Besides, the other significant reasons for interacting with the healthcare professionals include delivering adequate scientific as well as educational information to the patients and simultaneously, supporting medical education with sufficient and reliable research materials. Stating precisely, in order to accomplish the aforementioned benefits, the procedure of introducing as well as developing well-organized and competent training programs would be one of the imperative preparations to interact with the health science professionals (European Medicines Agency, 2011).
