The mission of this agency is to improve the quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and also safety of health care to all people. It tries to achieve these objectives by carrying out intensive research on any health care issue and looking for a possible solution and future prevention measures. As a result, people are able to get access to crucial information concerning their health. Some of the information that the agency relays to the public is the current curative and preventive measure that has been discovered by the agency. This agency ensures that it tests any disease at a lower cost than private sectors. In addition, it uses the current information technology in order to come up with reliable information and cure for public use at a very low and affordable cost. On the other hand, the services that are offered are not up to the standards as the agencies are associated with corruption and other unethical issues (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, 2012).

In the private sector, one of the most private renowned agencies in America is the Hospital Corporation of America. The body is mandated with the provision of high-quality health care through the use of current technology and human resources. The agency manages different health institutions in the country and also funds research. Although the provision of cost-effective services is one of the objectives of the agency, this has not yet been upheld as the cost of getting the services remains high. Currently, the major activity in the agency is to conduct thorough research in order to come up with modern strategies for curing and preventing diseases (Hospital Corporation of America, 2012).

One of the major initiatives projected is training nurses and other medical personnel on how to make use of the current technology in treating and taking care of patients. This move is expected to affect the mortality rate in the country. In addition, the use of technology will reduce manual work an aspect that will have a positive impact on reducing the cost of offering health services both in public and private health agencies. One of the major negative consequences of the move is that the use of the current technology will replace a lot of employees an aspect that will increase the level of unemployment in the country. On the other hand, the use of technology will require nurses and advanced practice nurses to further education in order for them to be incorporated into the new system. This will play a very great role in improving the quality and reducing the cost of offering health services in both public and private agencies and institutions (Geisler, Krabbendam, & Schuring, 2003).
