Physical Health Physical Health Health is the star of existence. Scholarly research depicts that health is the degree unto which thefunctional and metabolic practices occur in an organism’s body. It is important to note that good health is a crucial necessity in life. Health influences the social, economic, and political well being of an individual. It involves all aspects of human nature. Health not only concerns personal resources but also emphasizes social as well as physical competence. Health issues have been very controversial. For a lengthy period, a hot debate on the issue has existed, leading to research on health optimum levels implementation within the society (Mason, 2009). Physical health poses an immense intervention in an individual’s health and eventually requires a diverse attention and contemplation. Maintaining a competent level of physical health has been a gospel over years. Scholarly research depicts that physical health in most cases is anything that conjures an individual’s body as a physical entity. Physical health is an important aspect in the life of an individual. Failure to observe physical fitness deprives an individual of the opportunity to care for the other aspects of health. Physical health has become an intricate problem to both children and adults. It is necessary to enhance body fitness for better performance. Physical health entails having a close consideration on the construction of the body. Having a close relationship with the body gives an individual ample time to take good care of it. It is important to note that the body of an individual is complex and its maintenance requires a lot of commitment. How an individual’s body functions becomes a question at hand. Therefore, it is important that the body should be free from diseases, or any abnormalities. Although an individual tries as much as possible to enhance physical health, it becomes a very crucial issue since environmental forces pose a great threat. Researchers day and night come up with new inventions of preventing injuries and diseases caused by biological and physical attacks (Nash, 2010). Unfortunately, some physical abnormalities are life threatening and an individual is forced to adapt to the situation. An example is a crippled person in the society. It becomes very difficult to maintain or change the situation of that person. However, an individual can compensate for the defects and ultimately live long with the abnormality. A deaf person, for instance, can learn how to use sign language and become well adapted to it, hence becoming a challenge to the others. In his publication, Mason (2009) depicted that in some cases, the physically unfit personalities in the society tend to be discriminated and despised. This denial results in them experiencing other health related diseases such as stress and depression. In this situation, it becomes a responsibility of every individual to show compassion and acknowledge those with body defects in the society. Food is a crucial factor in the maintenance of physical health. In most cases, eating a balanced diet becomes a vital necessity. An individual is required to eat the necessary food compliments in order to make sure the body functions properly and is healthy. Some food substances that seem appeasing to the eyes of an individual may cause harmful effects to the body. These foods include very sugary, salty, and fatty food substances. Individuals addicted to these substances find it difficult to abandon those foods, and they ultimately alter the body functioning. This becomes an individual’s choice of maintaining physical fitness. An intake of drugs such as alcohol, bhang, cocaine and heroin alters the body functioning. Poisoning of the body takes place in many forms, affecting the body activity. Poisoning may arise either from self-poisoning or from the environment. In most cases, an individual fails to realize environmental poisoning, and hence, it becomes unavoidable. In order to achieve a good physical health, an individual is advised to avoid poisons, harmful drugs or any toxic substance that may alter the body functioning or digestion (Mason, 2009). How an individual shows concern to the body affects the physical fitness. Lack of physical health deprives an individual of the opportunity to enhance productivity (Prasher & Janicki, 2002). This may affect the career of an individual and negatively impart to the economic well being of the individual. Moreover, physical fitness helps an individual in maintenance of independence. An individual enjoys freedom of good health. In addition, regular physical activity and consumption of foods and beverages that enhance good health boost the physical health of an individual. The combination of a healthy diet that helps individuals in maintaining physical fitness might be hard to get every time. Lack of consistency, thus, makes people to suffer from physical complications like obesity and blood pressure. Physical fitness through research has proved to be important to the mind of an individual. Physical exercises, for instance, reduce stress experienced by an individual. Mind co-ordination and alertness has been proved to increase the academic performance of students. It is evidenced that those students who perform regular physical exercises find themselves with much more concentration and find it easier to learn new things. Regular exercises, in most cases, help individuals in overcoming all sorts of health problems. This makes individuals win self-confidence (Nash, 2010). In conclusion, every individual has a role to play in maintaining physical health as an aspect of health. A healthy individual corresponds to a healthy nation. The paper has in depth investigated how physical health and proper maintenance of the body is crucial to an individual’s life. It is important for every person to bring into attention the ways needed to enhance physical health. This entails consumption of a well balanced diet, avoiding drugs and more so, engaging in regular physical exercises. In addition, hygiene is necessary for a physically fit individual. A clean person feels contented and is free from infection, whether bacterial or fungal. A hygienically fit person boosts mental fitness (Prasher & Janicki, 2002).
