"Dental Care in the USA " is a good example of a paper on dental health.
Providing accurate information to patients regarding dental diseases is one of the main responsibilities of a dentist. My work experience in the United States of America has changed my perception of dental cure. I have earned one-year professional experience working as a dental assistant. In this essay, I will relate one of my professional experiences, which made me aware of the importance of providing instant dental care to the patients.

One day a female patient came to our office for teeth filling. While filling her teeth using silver amalgam, our dentist figured out that her four-year-old daughter had dental caries disease. The dentist not only informed the woman that she needed to take care of her daughter’s teeth but also insisted her bring her daughter back to the clinic as soon as possible to let him cure her teeth. The woman agreed but said that she could only consider it, as her daughter did not have medical insurance in the US. However, time passed by and she did not come to the clinic. After six months, that woman came again to the clinic with her daughter. At that time, there was a lot of swelling on her daughter’s face. The daughter also had a high fever. After examining her daughter properly, we told the woman that all of this had happened due to negligence shown towards her broken teeth. The disease had become even more serious as the crowns of her broken teeth were broken and only the roots were left.

Through this experience, I realized the importance of immediate treatment by knowing that a little negligence shown towards dental diseases creates big problems for a person. For example, in the case described above, had the mother paid attention to her daughter’s dental disease at the right time, the daughter could have escaped from high fever and other serious issues.

Awareness of dental diseases plays a very considerable role in providing proper cure to the patients. It is the responsibility of the parents to take care of their children to protect them from diseases. The negligence in dental care shown by parents can create many problems for the children, such as tooth decay, impacted tooth, oral cancer, periodontal disease, and tooth abscess. To improve the quality of oral care for children, the parents need to be made aware of dental diseases not only in the US, but also in other countries where children still suffer from pain, tooth decay, and other oral diseases.

In the future, as a dentist, I will do as much as I can to provide accurate information regarding dental care not only to the patients but also to other people to make them take effective measures to cure dental diseases. Healthy teeth lead to a healthy life. Teeth not only need to be white and bright but also they should be free of dental diseases. Oral health is equally important for the children as it is for the parents. It is the responsibility of the government to provide free medical insurance to the children to make them safe and secure from all sorts of diseases along with dental diseases.
