Reach refers to the unduplicated proportion of an audience that is exposed to a media schedule" (Advertising Media) "To establish optimum impact of your media plan through cost-value planning, you need to select media based on which outlets (stations, billboards, newspapers, etc.) Provide the greatest effectiveness". It is established as a Charity organization aiming to cater for all persons suffering from neurological condition, which as a result most of the victims that were treated so far go under complete recovery. However, if the disease afflicts the part of the brain that produces awareness, the patient may not know anything is wrong. In that case it may be up to friends and family to take the patient to the doctor". This disease is rapidly increasing in UK in no small measure, whereby estimation shows that currently there are 20,000 sufferers of this disease across this nation. It is indeed great calamity falling against our countrymen and women, even including the future generation. As such what is the solution to this problem Moribund is a charity Organization which has been exploring its resources toward ensuring that the diseases is bygone in UK, through voluntarily sponsoring the medical care of the affected victims. While they are doing their efforts, the resource they have will not cater for the medical care of all the victims. Thus, the Charity Organization gears to Re-Launch, and renamed it Headcase, primarily in order to increase awareness on the need to put hands on deck and fight against the disease. Additionally, the Charity wanted to raise more fund in order to effectively continue its activities, including seeking for more membership. People of all calibers need to be aware of this development, so that all we address this issue through various kinds of positive contributions. As such, journalist should adapt the spirits of patriotism and join this crusade. Their roles are very significant and tremendous, which is needed indeed. Assignment 2 Media Strategy: "A good media strategy will start by taking the target audiences for your research output and defining the most effective way to reach them through the media. It should address how the media can best be used to publicize research and influence debate. And once you've got media attention for your research, it should help you decide what to do with it. Your strategy should also specify the resources, both financial and human, that will be needed to promote your findings and manage the feedback you get". (What is Media Strategy) Media Plan * Message Explores ways through which Radio BBC 2 will redeemed its deteriorating image of loosing more audience, by making some interesting changes in all its programs. Also to find ways where the general public will continue to participate in the activities of the station more actively. More over, ensuring that henceforth people in the UK and wherever BBC 2 is reaching have continuous confidence and attach greatest priorities on it, thus participating more actively and frequently than hitherto. Also, is the need to give wider room for audience to be part and parcel of all programs in the station through given them the right to phone in live and express their confidence or dismay in any program they are listening, with suggestion on how to make improvements. Also let them cites where they find lapses in any program they are listening, thus they will feel they are part of the station. Many people as a result of this will surely participate and more audiences will be participating in the near future. OBJECTIVE OF THE CAMPAING Restoring the Deteriorating image of Radio BBC 2: This should be done through making positive changes in it programs, adding more color to all it programs with the aim of inviting more audiences more than before. Increase public awareness of programs and dj's: The needs for public awareness cannot be over emphasized on this basis. As such people should have more knowledge on the entertaining, educative and cultural programs carryout in BBC 2, with stressing that the station is still on it peak. While dj's controlling these programs are second to know in whole UK. There is hardly where to get such intellectual people until you tune to BBC 2 radio station. Create, change and enhance the image of dj's that are loosing audience: This could be done also through setting new programs which will immensely captivate attentions of millions of listeners across UK. Programs different with others that were aired before, while people should have confidence on these dj's through their new innovative and attractive programs. Encourage sponsors (Department of media, culture and sport that Radio 2 is part of people's life: This can also be achieved through new innovative programs that will be designed to have influence to listeners, which are also related to their cultures and finding ways different with other stations while reviewing sporting activities as well. Help to reach new audience such as ethnic minorities: The campaign should also explore ways to reaching these people by creating a very interesting programs aiming to promote them. By doing so, the station will no doubt have new audiences in addition to Promote the 3 day festival at CANVAS, LONDON: By making this promotion through making it live with nice commentaries from some talented dj's the station will have more audience. The target audience: should be artists, young men and women, students, school lecturers, opinion leaders and different kinds of social groups. The Media routes to reach the target audience include television and radio programs and jingles, newspapers, phoning in programs, pamphlets and recruiting of young and popular artists. Television: Television stations across UK can be use as machineries to reaching the target audiences. Radio BBC 2 should as a matter of regaining it loosing credibility's organize programs which can be design primarily very interesting, where stakeholders of the station should be seen live, stating their zeal and determination, stressing with fact, that they will henceforth appears to be the most superlative radio station in the whole UK. Let them look very businesslike, speaks with confidence, shares jokes with viewers, and assures them they will have more when they also tunes to Radio BBC 2. There is also needs to invite students leaders, opinion group leaders and some well known artist, to share the programs with them. Radio Programs: This is also similar to Television program only that it can be done direct live from radio BBC 2, with key stakeholders as it does during the Television programs. There is needs to give the program a different name; like "NEW VALUE", in which there will be a live phoning in program with cultural groups, student, opinion leaders, popular and unpopular artists, create interesting show and discussion, so they can share with audiences. While before the program, other television and radio stations should be given jingles, carrying captivating word promoting the program, few days before the date schedule. NEWSPAPERS: Using popular and unpopular Newspapers circulating within UK can also contribute immensely to reach the target audience. Here, there is need to make a well design and very sensitive and attractive combine cartoon pictures of participating artists, dj's and other stakeholders expecting to participate in their real postures and full color, with radio BBC logo at the top. Sensitive words should be written inviting participation of all meaning people in UK during the program 'NEW VALUE', also telling people that the program has never been done elsewhere in any of the UK's television and radio stations, therefore people should not afford to miss. Place this advert in all the newspapers, irrespective of it popularity or unpopularity, as it means important no matter what fewer people read it. During the program, if BBC radio 2 remains firm to standard, they will regain their loosing audiences with more to participate in future. Leaflet and Pamphlets: These two medium can also play vital role in reaching the target audience. The BBC 2 radio should also place the same advert as it does in Newspapers, publish millions of it, and distribute in all social gathering centers within UK, including schools, hospitals, and all nooks and corners. WHY JOURNALIST SHUOLD COVER THE EVENT Journalist of all calibers within UK ought to cover this event organized by BBC RADIO 2, all stands as stakeholders toward enhancing the national development. Controller: I can only cheers their efforts toward fulfilling the dreams of radio 2 BBC towards continue holding flying colors in broadcasting.
