The paper “Myanmar - Factors Influencing the Ability of a Company to Be Market Leader of Purified Drinking Water” is a brilliant example of a marketing research paper. Myanmar’s bottled water industry has grown exponentially despite the challenges it faces, both internally and externally. Companies in the bottled water industry in Myanmar have been increasingly diversifying their approaches to the market in a bid to attain market leadership status. To further understand the market and establish the factors that contribute to a company’s market leader status, this research aims at investigating the bottled water industry in Myanmar.
To come up with correct results, the research study embarked on several activities that were based on a well-laid-out research design. A quantitative research study was employed, and the industry in Myanmar was sorted through a set of questionnaires. By use of a recognized sampling method, a sample size of 95 was arrived at and utilized in the study. The members for participation were chosen at random from the country's water companies and handed in official premises or some cases via the Internet.
Data collected was related to the variables set by the conceptual framework. The most important factors were established after extensive studying and analysis. In-house company efforts and government regulations emerged as some of the most important factors that can contribute to a player gaining market leader status. Other factors were also established and concluded.Due to the limited resources and time in conducting the primary research data collection, a small sample size of data was chosen from the population to reflect the possibly larger population that was targeted by the research study.
Also, the time to collect and fill up the surveys was limited, and this could have negatively affected the study. However as a large number of the participants are experienced in the fields, the concern was not a possible deterrent to the quality of findings.
