Executive Summary All human activities including marketing are influenced by environmental issues. Most businesses behaviors have started being modified so as to address the new concerns of society. Some have been quick to integrate concepts like systems of environmental management and waste minimization. Most manufacturers have been forced to reuse and recycle waste products due to high population levels and value of the environment. Green marketing is the advertising or promotion of products having environmental factors or attributes. Consumers who are apprehensive of their environment producing no pollution and are concerned about prevention of its destruction consider this type of marketing. This report analyses how the green marketing patterns can be used to recycle electronic tools and equipment. This is by analyzing the literature review as well as a discussion of any personal unobtrusive observations in both literature and topic context. There is also an analysis of the implications of green marketing best practice as well as recommendations and justification. Introduction Green marketing is mainly imbedded in the environmental and ecological issues. Manufacturers apply it to avoid damaging the environment. When buying products, consumers take into consideration environmental issues. This has led to emerging of green marketing significant concepts and issues. In companies and organizations, ethics, environmental respect and responsibility are important aspects. In several countries, certain companies pay for recycling of digital products for example in Japan, ideal utilization of resources and recycling is encouraged by law. Several countries also encourage recycling in order to maintain the environment. In an attempt to reduce any type of environmental pollution, recycle and reuse of waste products is taken into consideration and thus electronic equipments are largely recycled. Green marketing is a wide concept. It involves following a strategy of marketing that can be based on customer expectations to be identified through benefits of the environment. This generally entails the factors that work towards promoting the environment. Conduction of green marketing is done at three levels. The first level is the premeditated level whereby there is a change in producers’ behaviors. The second level is the sub-strategic level. This is whereby change is mainly attested in a given company’s procedures. The final stage is the pre-emptive level. This is whereby there is a change in the actual activities that take place in the factories and the manufacturing centers. There is also the first age. This is whereby green marketing to aid reduce air pollution by automobiles, chemicals and agricultural equipment. The second age is whereby there is green marketing for the environment. It involves the prevention of environmental waste that would be dangerous to animals and consumers health. The final Age is the third age. This is whereby there is Ecological Green Marketing. The green ecological marketing approach takes into consideration future generations needs. Green design involves selection and planning of substances and materials, structure of production, performance, packaging and conveyance methods. Certain aspects should be considered. These aspects include the prospective safety and health, recycling ease, the use of less energy, low pollution and simple application. Prices should also be based on environmental and direct costs. Literature review Recycling is the processing of already used waste materials into new products so as to prevent waste of valuable materials, to minimize consumption of renewed raw materials and to reduce usage of energy. It is also aimed at minimizing pollution. It is a major component of waste reduction. Materials that can be recycled include types of metal, plastics, textiles, glass, paper and electronics. Recycling has over the years become a very distinctive way of modern life. The citizens during the Second World War recall few recycling practices. This includes the flattening of tin cans as well as the salvaging of rubber tires during the wartime. In the beginning of 1960’s, there was improved sensitivity towards the environmental issues. It also started becoming an important part of many nations’ psyche. The first earth day became celebrated in 1970. Formal recycling on the other hand mainly gained popularity around 1990 and the municipalities began mandating recycling aluminum cars, paper and plastic. Currently, the mentality of recycling is part of everybody’s life (Kirk & Othmer, 2004). For the people, recycling is highly essential to the cities, the states and the provinces around the world. The landfill rubbish sites are mainly filling up in a high speed. In the UK, during 2010, almost all the landfills rubbish sites were full. There is no space to waste with the increasing population. This therefore creates the need to recycle the wastes. There is also the reduction of the financial expenditure in countries’ economies. Companies that manufacture goods using raw materials use more finances. This is unlike the companies that manufacture goods from recycled products. There is also the aspect of preservation of natural resources for the future generations. Recycling therefore reduces the need for the usage of raw materials. It also uses little energy as compared to other processes. This therefore preserves natural resources not only for current use but also for future use (Ghosh, 2011). Electronics and recycling Computer cases are some of the recyclable components. Certain motherboard components, the keyboard and front section of the case are plastic made and thus recycling process helps to save and also reduce a part of the eventual price. In many countries there are companies that pay for recycling of digital products. For example, in Japan there is the legal name used for encouraging the optimal use of resources. It is often remembered as a law to encourage recycling. Japan is one of the richest countries in electronics production. It is considered as a considerable part of the electronics and computer wasted devices. Citizens in Japan work towards recycling these damaged parts not only to benefit the country, but to also reduce wasting the environment. The importance of this recycling is estimated at about 51 percent of Japanese current produced goods. These include households for example personal computers. There is a total 24 million estimated home computers in Japan and other neighboring countries. There are also huge numbers of innovations. One of the problems of waste disposal and a trash is to waste the environment. But in a proper planning and innovative method, based on encouraging the efficient use of resources, recycling and reused second-hand computers, a lot can be recycled. Aging facilities, such as increased financial support, fees, or discounts on the purchase of newer models, encourage people to contribute to the government programs. There is also the strict separation of waste, second hand shop at markets; money paid by the municipalities for the recycling of appliances and electronics devices, such as non-burning. All the designs reflect the spirit of recycling and efficient use of resources by the Japanese. Some computer companies in the Japan have interesting innovations (Vazifehdust & Taghipourian, 2011). For example, the company HP has a recycling fee on sales of its notebooks. The computer users obtain a bill of goods. In some cases, there is a part of the municipal waste collection center that is a great power. Computer devices in the UK apply make up 4 percent of its waste. Each year about one million tons of computer device are disposed of in Great Britain. Given the increasing use of computer technology and the growth rate, this type of waste is three times the other. For building a monitor, fuel is needed 22 kg of chemicals, 1050 liters of water, as well as the raw materials. Given this, the reuse of computer equipment can be saved to a large extent on the use of natural materials. In England there is a company that collects old computers from around the country. They are part of the unusable items that are recycled and they are part of a technical defect that can be repaired (Asadollahi, 2011). Discussion of any personal unobtrusive observations in the context of the topic and the literature In my opinion, newly established companies with low price must be available to recycling charities. This tails about fifty percent of computer equipment companies that are reusable (Kronrod, 2012). However, the reduction of environmental pollution in recent years and is highly regarded in many countries with manufacturing plants converts to the importance of this issue. Reuse and recycle of waste products and the production must also be put under consideration. Unfortunately, the recycling of electronic devices today is easy. This is because people contain significant amounts of them in every house, from mobile phones to large TV receptors. It’s’ management is a subject that takes several efforts but the effect is advantageous to keeping the environment. Countries need to adopt uniform rules on electronic waste recycling, on all its’ states, cities and even ranches (Durmaz & zengın, 2011). Countries also need to implement e-waste recycling in recent years in order to ease the recycling process. Recycling has become the subject of entertainment for consumers. Fortunately, just big companies produce electronic equipment and to implement these new programs require a lot of money. Steps involved in launching successful recycling programs, Include proper coordination by the producers. This involves establishing a team in order to gather the wasted electronic devices (Zaharia, 2011). This team must also look forward to gathering electronic devices cooler systems such as reregisters, freezers, microwaves, as well as TV larger than 32 inches all other electronic devices that need them are not collected. In exchange for recycling someone’s television, laptop or computer monitors, one can pay $ 10. Implications for green marketing best practice There are some implications for the green marketing best practice. Companies must work towards improving their own efficient energy. This should be done with the emphasis on the benefits to the local communities. Companies also need to give their own customers enough reasons to adapt to proper and responsible behaviors related to the environment. When it mainly comes to green marketing, there should be sufficient information concerning a given products’ benefits on the environment. This should also be close to the purchase point. The message must be made personal by mainly explaining to the customer how a given disposal on the environment harms the environment. Explanation on the benefits of the environment must also be a part of a larger value proposition. The non-governmental organizations on the other hand must contain a shared understanding on certain goals as well a constraints of a given partnership. Both the companies on recycling as well as the environmental organizations need to share an equal understanding as well as respecting the written engagement rules (Kumar, 2011). Recommendations and Justification There are recommendations aimed at improving the green marketing best practice. The first recommendation is to offer discounts for people who offer the second hand spare parts mainly in the electronics sector. This will encourage the customer to give more damaged parts that can be recycled with the aim of making new parts. The municipals should also place bags for collecting rubbish in cities in towns. There should also be training posters for the people to read on the importance of recycling electronic parts for the creation of other things. Sales agents and customer agents should be located in these sites to encourage more customers. The recycling companies must also come up with gift packages. These gifts can be used by the companies to encourage more donations of electronic parts. There can also be installation of slogans in the streets aiming at the maintenance of social responsibility among the people. This method is equal to advertising as it attracts more people to know what is happening. The slogans can contain short but powerful words on the importance of recycling electronic products instead of throwing them away. The public on several occasions seems to believe what the slogans contain. These slogans can originate also from the humanitarian movement as well as the environmental movements. The old electronic equipment can provide financial help to the average families if they give them out to the electronic parts that are no longer in use. Justification refers to the ability to give explanations pertaining to something as well as give reasons as to why it is the way it is. A given recycling process is mainly a cycle that helps the environment. The first stage contains collecting as well as sorting. This is whereby the materials become collected and the processed ones are sorted out mainly according to the type and the uses. After the materials become sorted, they are then ready for a second stage that involves manufacturing. This is whereby the collected and the sorted materials become processed into newer and reusable goods. After these products become manufactured they are sold ahead to the consumers. After the bought products serve their purpose, the process again continues while these products become produced daily. Conclusion Green marketing related issues picked for this report is recycling of electronic parts. Many people have damaged phones, computers, Televisions and other electronic devices. Other electronic devices include car parts. Many countries have deserted fields whereby people dump the damaged electronic parts. There is need for the government to come up with recycling centers whereby the electronic devices can be recycled. This can lead to the preservation of the environment for other issues. Countries that have not had any implementation procedures on recycling therefore need to come up with such procedures. Green marketing generally entails the activities mainyl designed towards generating as well as facilitatig any exchanges intended at satisfying the human wants or needs that occur within the minimal input on a given country’s national development. It generally involves promoting and the development of services and products that provide satisfatcion to the customers’ needs and wants dily.
