This revolution deals with the change from mechanical and analog system to electronic and digital technology. This evolution started in late 1950s. Digital revolution means the improvement and advancement of technology with the change of time. This revolution is marked as a beginning of new information era. Digital record and computer initiated this era. Various significant changes are taking place for digital revolution. Digital communication took place because of this revolution. Still now digital communication is very popular throughout the world. Digital revolution has a strong impact on growth and development of the world. Digital technologies are continuously changing with time. Global marketing is strongly impacted by digital revolution. Many new process of marketing process has developed which have enhanced marketing activities and functions of different trades. As a result the global market has experienced innovative planning and practices in performing marketing activities. Digital revolution enhanced both hardware and software system of business which helped the company to generate more revenue and expand their companies. With the advancement of technology maximum utilization of technology is possible which helped to enhanced marketing activities. Now a day digital marketing has become an important tool for attracting more customers in the business. Technological development Digital revolution leads to the development and advancement of technology. Before 1950s marketing activities of the business was not so dependent on technology. But after digital revolution, different technologies and electronic products are easily available to people. As a result the companies have developed marketing activities by used advanced technologies for which they can easily reach to customers. Media and internet played a vital role in changing global marketing. These two things created a huge impact on customers and influenced their buying behavior. With the help of media different marketing activities are performed. Buy this process the companies are able to create their image in the mind of consumers. Earlier print media was the only way to market products and services. But after digital revolution electronic media has become one of the important and effective ways to market products and services (Dahlen, 2009). Technological advancement helps to develop many new types of machine which makes business operational process much easier than earlier. As a result the companies are able to save a lot of money which they use in improving their marketing activities. In the modern world the companies advertize and sale their product online by using electronic mediums. This technological development helps them to introduce attractive marketing activities which highlight its product and services. In today’s world marketers face many advantages for technological development which influences global marketing. Software and application development Digital revolution has resulted in the development of many application and software. These things have a huge contribution in the daily life of people. Digital revolution has influenced people to become tech savvy (Ulwick, 2005). Therefore introduction of new applications and software has helped the people to use different technologies easily. Companies developed different software and applications like email, web based communication which helped them to interact easily with its customers. Technological change helps to develop applications and software which impacts global marketing activities. Earlier people were not so used to mobile, tabs or other electronic devices. So it was very difficult for the companies reach to its customers by using software or applications. But in the recent time these devices are used by the people at a large scale. So various mobile applications have developed which paved easy ways to market products and services (Neil, 2010). Companies spend huge amount of money in developing software for enhancing its marketing process. By using different applications the companies are able to understand more about its customers which help them to design marketing activities according to the need and requirement of its customers. Earlier marketing activities were very general. It just highlighted some of the features of product or service. But now by using advanced software and application the companies show how the product can satisfy needs of its customers or can benefit them in better ways. This helped to increase overall sale of products in global market. Connectivity Digital revolution contributed a lot in increasing communication and connectivity. In the early day letter, telegram played a major role in connectivity. Communication by using these mediums was very time taking. Digital revolution introduced internet and many advanced medium of tele communication. As a result the communication process became very fast. It has a huge impact on marketing activities. Introduction of email facility helped the companies to improve their business operational process (Pringle, 2008). This revolution process has facilitated the companies to improve their mode of communications with customers by implementing advanced technology. Connectivity of global market is enhanced by internet. Initially the companies were not so much famous at international level. This is because their marketing activities were not so much effective to attract customers from outside the country. But with the help of digital revolution the companies are able to develop effective marketing activities which reached maximum customers around the world. Earlier customer support system of organizations was very weak and slow. Companies faced many obstacles in communicating with its customers. But after the development of internet and strong tele communication it has became very easier for the companies to connect with its customers and provide them strong support. It resulted in the increase of customer satisfaction. Change in use and practice Digital revolution has introduced many advanced system which changed many practices of company. These changes helped the companies to improve its marketing practices. Innovation of cloud computing software benefited the companies in many ways to enhance its marketing activities. Digital revolution has changed the entire marketing system. Earlier the companies used to focus on specific number of customers. They were unable to reach many customers. But for advancement of technologies the companies are now able to approach many customers which are not limited to any boundaries. With the help of advanced technologies there is a rapid increase of marketing activities by various companies. Before digital revolution word of mouth was the strongest form of marketing (Mcfarlin and Sweeney, 2008). Companies used to do many activities to spread good word of mouth for attracting customers. But after digital revolution the company focuses more on various media to spread awareness about its products and services. Now advertisement has become a major tool for promoting or marketing a product. In the modern world the company puts huge effort not only to increase its sale but to implement modern technologies which helps it to lower its different cost and increase its revenue. Financial activities related to marketing have become very strong for digital revolution. Internet use Internet is the most vital thing or innovation in the field of digital revolution. It has dramatically improved marketing activities of all companies. It is the most effective medium to reach people within a very short time. Before digital revolution the company used to incur huge amount of cost to advertize its product and services through some limited media. There were few traditional activities through which organizations can market its product and services. But after digital revolution internet provide a huge number of options to the companies to market its product and services. Marketing activities are improved day by day with the help internet use. Many small and big companies are developed for the in the past decades for the increase in use of internet. Companies advertize about their products and services in internet by using various website and social networking sites. Earlier people have to visit different stores for purchasing products. But in this century with the increase of internet usage the companies have developed its online stores for selling its products (Lasserre, 2012). By establishing this marketing activity the concept of market has entirely changed. Customers now do not have to visit store. They can easily purchase products from anywhere and anytime. Conclusion Digital revolution has a huge contributing in improving global marketing. This revolution introduced many advanced technology and process which have benefited the whole world. The era of information is started for this revolution. Marketing activities of company developed a lot for digital revolution. Introduction of advanced technology helped the companies to reduce its different costs and focus more on acquiring more customers and satisfying the existing customers. The organization improved their marketing style and techniques by applying and using various products and technologies of digital revolution. As a result important changes took place in marketing activities of different companies around the world. Connectivity and communication process improved a lot for this revolution. Internet and telecommunication system play a vital role for enhancing communication system. It helped the companies to get touch with its customers easily. As a result organizations now a day are able to satisfy more customers than earlier. It helped them to know and understand its customers in details. According to that companies design marketing plans and activities serving the needs and requirements of its customers.
