VALS Exercise Take the VALS survey from Strategic Business Insights. http www.strategicbusinessinsights.com/vals/presurvey.shtmlPrint out and attach the categories you are placed in (or write it in). Below is the screen short of the results of my type. The result of my survey indicates that my primary VALS type is experiencer and secondary type is striver.Do you think you fit into these categories? Why or why not?All the information I filled that gave results to this reflects my true nature. I therefore feel that I fit in these categories.
I always have the craving desire to try out new things since I consider this as being creative and innovative. When it comes to a variety of products, adventuring across different items opens up one’s mind and offer better opportunity for selecting the best out of the competing alternatives. When it comes to the most current technology I adopt immediately and I am always up-to-date in terms of latest fashion trends in clothing and accessories (Pride and Ferrell, pg.203). On the other side of my life, I strive to realize my desires in terms of new concepts and latest social issues.
I believe that experience offers firsthand learning that mere secondary information from another party counts less. I have always practiced this in my purchasing of various items. What product or service do you buy that shows you fit into these categories?I spend a lot in buying the latest clothes, shoes and accessories like wrist watches. This means I always come to new experiences as far as the product market is concerned. I am the kind of the consumer that will spare no scent when it comes to purchasing the latest and trendy fashions.
It is also important to note that I spend also in buying some items that I don’t know with a goal of trying out new things. This has significantly boosted my exposure when it comes to latest brands in the market for the above mentioned items.Work citedPride, William M, and O C. Ferrell. Marketing.
