? Global Marketing Plan Institute Being a strategic marketing manager, I am supposed to present in front of the advisory board of my company to discuss on various issues related to the expansion of our business in various locations. The owners of the company showed a great level of trust on me and I would definitely like to meet all their expectations in a well-organized manner. As per my findings and research work, I would like to present on various things like whether we should opt for globalization of the company or not? What are the bases behind my decision? What area should we target for global expansion? What is the information that supports my decision? How my decisions support the overall goal of growth and expansion? And last but not the least that How would I convince someone with the opposing perspective? In the end I would present my own views to support my decision and findings so far. Global Marketing Plan As I am supposed to present my thoughts regarding the globalization issue for the company, so in my views we should definitely move for globalization of our company. Since, our company has a wide range of clientele in Phoenix and Boston. People already know us here and our company is one of the most renowned furniture selling companies in town. Therefore, we would definitely have to take the opportunity like other companies and try to build the same repute in other locations as well. Moreover, I think we can do much better in other areas of the world as well. Therefore, in my point of view, it is the right time when we should expand our business internationally as well. Main reason behind this decision is to increase the market share of our company. Moreover, if we expand our business in various regions across the globe then it will increase our sales and revenue as well. It will help our company to make its name in more locations, thus creating diversified customer range as well. One more factor to think about globalization is to search for more capable labor source from multiple areas of the world. This diversity will not only give us varied work force but also different minds to think for the benefit of the company in a better way. This is one way we can multiply our profits as well. As far as my rationale behind this decision is concerned, I stated already that globalization is truly good for our company at this moment. I don’t want to wait and let other competitors to take the advantage of this process. We have examples of many companies that have expanded their business to almost every side of the globe such as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, KFC, and so on. All these companies have not only gained lots of popularity around the world but also multiplied their revenues in a well-organized manner. If we lose the opportunity now, then some other company will lead us in this regard and gets all the benefits of globalization prior to us. When it comes to target any specific location then Europe is the best place to aim for. I have suggested Europe because we can gain a wide range of customers and competent workers from that place. Especially from Sweden we can get proficient workers and true furniture lovers from all over the continent. As per my studies people there are fond of good furniture. They like to give their homes a classy and trendy look. They follow trends and if we provide latest and chic styles designs of furniture then we can surely increase our clientele in that area. I have worked out enough to trace the location, where our company should target? The information I gathered using all my efforts, clearly shows that people in that area needs a good job with higher salaries. We can easily target those areas to give them a good job and hence can upsurge our resources as well. It will also cut down our production cost because the salaries we are paying here in Boston and Phoenix are comparatively higher than the amount we would pay there. Not to compromise on the quality side, I would suggest that instead of making the furniture at other locations, we make them here and just export different parts of the goods that can be reassembled easily on arrival at various places. It would be easy for our company to ship such pieces wherever we want. We can hire people in other locations, just for assembling furniture made by us. It costs us less, than to hire people to make all the furniture at remote locations. That’s the only way to monitor the quality factor of our goods. One more factor that made me choose Europe as a target for our business expansion is that it would be easy for all of us to travel in that continent. Unlikely, the other areas of the world where it would be slight dangerous and hard to travel such as Asia. Since, we all know the major climate difference to that place as well as the other threats we might face while working with under developed countries. Moreover, besides the simple means of travel we can feel at home in Europe as well. The climate difference is not too much and we all will feel ourselves comfortable there also. Another reason for targeting Europe is that, I think people there are very well aware of purchasing things online. If we would be able to build a valuable name in that area then we can capture online buyers as well. Since, people of Europe are well trained in buying things online then I think we can also build a good market on the Internet. If we suppose for a moment that we have expanded our business to these areas then what are the changes that it would bring to our overall business. Once, we expand our business to these areas, definitely more people come to know about our brand and services. If somehow we will manage to satisfy the customers from that part of the world then definitely our range of customers will increase. Thus, we can surely get a handsome amount of profit from those parts as well. Now if we combine the revenue we get from the other locations and from Boston & Phoenix then surely we will see that the overall growth of the company will increase. Besides that our resources have also increased on the other hand that will help us in getting more and more unique and brilliant ideas from diversified chain of employees. Also, if we introduce the free trade policy between the locations we work in, then customers can get our products in reasonable prices. It will again increase our clientele in these locations. In the end, if anyone is against the proposed solution then he or she can easily analyze all the facts and figures, I just presented and think the same way I did. If anyone thinks that we should not expand our business then in my opinion it is not a valid thinking. Since, I have proved that by moving towards globalization we would encounter more advantages and opportunities to drive our business to the heights of success. Moreover, if anyone thinks that the target location I selected is not good then again I can convince him or her in this regard. Nowadays, we are living in a technically revolutionized world; people are running behind latest trends and styles. In such scenarios if we target Europe for our business expansion then I must say we can get a large number of buyers from that place. Not only buyers, we can get competent resources from that place as well. It will not only give rise to the free international trades as well as open the doors of new opportunities for the people at both places. I will end up my presentation with the words that we must go for globalization to increase our profits, revenues and sales from various parts of the world except Phoenix and Boston. Also, to get more new ideas, new resources and employees that will help us in achieving our goals and missions across the globe. Moreover, if we have decided to move towards international business then we should target the entire Europe for the expansion of our business. It would cut down our travelling costs as well as eliminate from our employees the feeling of home sickness. As I think that at Europe we will feel at home somehow. References (2010). EconomyWatch.
