Motivation theory The main aspect of motivation involves values, purpose, and aims alignment between organization, teams and staff. The better the personal and alignment correlation with aims of the organization the better the motivation podium. This ensures reasonable successes are achieved in any organization. However, in a team, people have different motivation needs. In this group, the future expectation to manage a business (Majed, Bassel), manage a firm (Brianna), further studies (Tanja, Jay), engage in professional management and supporting family members (Jay) are the key goals as to why everyone looks forward to succeed in this program for the purposes of future expectation and practices experience (Compton). Contingency theories Also referred to as situation approach, is made to be flexible where solving different problems is done using different strategies. In addition, successes are only achieved through sharing values and goals rather than structures of power. This is clearly stipulated in this team. The team only has one CEO at the top management and the others are all managers in different section. This is portrayed by how the team approaches the Camp Quality Program. The team members pust it right that they are sure they will succeed. This is because each member brings in different but resourceful insights depending on their talents, skills and knowledge. In other words it is only values and goal sharing which will make the program plans a success rather than their power in positions of management. Maslow’s needs hierarchy theory Developed in 1940s-1950s in USA, Abraham Maslow came up with this theory which helps understand personal development, management training and human motivation. In this team each member has the reason for furthering studies or studying business management despite different courses. In addition, the team members are motivated by different element to pursue their career now and in future. Compton for example is motivated by his enormous communication experience skills worth inputting to the team’s activities. According to Maslow, human needs are grouped into five categories and satisfaction of one need moves the person to the next. This explains the reason why Jay confirms that he will embark on what he loves travelling worldwide upon fulfilling his main desire of ensuring stability of the immediate family members. From the basic: Physiological and biological needs like sleep, sex, warmth, shelter, drink, air, etc this is achieved among team members as they indicate to give a helping hand to the needy in the society. This means their physiological and biological needs are being met. Needs for security; the expression of freedom of participation in studies and the community especially in sports like skiing and swimming is a clear indication that members are safe and of sound mind. In addition, if these members can support a Camp Quality Program to donate funds still supports that the members are protected by the law of the nation. Love and belongingness needs; in this case at least each member of the group there is a particular group or company which each member associate with like sports (Jay, Bassel, Brianna, employment partners (Compton), family (Tanja, Majed and Jay) and friends (Brianna). Esteem needs; this fact is portrayed by all team members as everyone has had the pleasure to talk about his academic achievement prior and current. This is a form of prestige and recognition which builds self-esteem. In addition, those with previous experiences and exposure are more dominant and have actually mastered their background achievement like Compton and Jay. Self-actualization needs; this fact is portrayed by Compton as he has reached climax of achievements and wants more knowledge on business management. In addition, love of nature like Brianna explains,’ I love anything to do with water is also a form of actualization’. Participative management style or theory Y Developed by Douglas McGregor, theory Y emphasizes that putting effort in work comes quite natural just like play and work. Despite not threatening people on either punishing them or other external controls they (people) will always apply self-direction and self-control to achieve organizational objectives. In addition, people are quite responsible and will always look to ensure they remain as so. This explains why the five team members are quite organized, coordinated and self motivated in planning for The Camp Quality Programs for Babes, Boys and Balloons with even higher hopes of recognition as each party brings in culture, talents and knowledge to make the project a success. Leadership: interactional approach theory The CEO puts it right that he has excellent communication and management skills reinforced by his experience and studies in public relation. Interactional theory first asserts that, people do have different reasons for carrying out a certain action of which can change with time. Second, it puts it right that complexity is the human nature. In addition, the performance and productivity is highly affected with experience, tasks type and innate abilities. Consequently, workplace system or environment continues to promote the energy, matter and information exchanges. These facts are the reasons why the team thought it wise to have Mr. Compon as the CEO. Spirituality and love in business and management Love in business refers to the act of conducting oneself and making decisions in a manner portraying that someone cares for the environment and people we live with. Men use their left-mind-side to make decisions. Hence male groups tend to emphasize on perspectives generated from this region of the brain such as profit making, financial results, strategic planning, total quality, critical reasoning, and performance management among others. These are excellent aspects in management and business although they are basically dispassionate. From the history male-dominate business related fields. Therefore, these priorities and ideas have also been dominance in organizations and business. Love has been a word most related to female gender; which is taken to carry with it real ethical principles, spirituality, compassion and love. This theory encourages: doing what is right and acceptable as an individuals, connecting with others, building confidence, daily meditation, use personal intuition, reach to other people outside and use collaborative mindset. Planning, executing, monitoring and evaluating Babes, Boys and Balloons has taken into consideration the term love. The need to extend a helping hand to the cancerous children is love. This does not mean the male-oriented ideas are not incorporated; they are; love only makes them complete. On the same Jay portrays this inner zeal for his need to support his family until they are self-reliant, before even satisfying his heart to travel worldwide. Involvement to physical recreational activity like (Majed, Brianna, Jay and Bassel) supporting family business to ensure success (Tanja) and the graphical work expressed by Compton is part of environment protection and supports the business theory of love and spirituality.
