Strategic direction is defined as a mixture of process, policies and system which will help the business to work in a pre-determined manner and use the resources in the best possible manner so that the objectives are achieved. Norton Lilly have considered the different areas which are of prime importance and based on it have developed their business plan. This has enabled the company to develop the business in a manner which will help to enhance customer satisfaction and have identified the different process and system which will guide them through it. The business has thereby looked towards following the concept of mapping which has helped them to improve their delivery model so that the end customers are satisfied. This has helped Norton Lilly to find out the KPI which will help them to provide quality services to the customers. The KPI were developed by finding out the skills that the employees have and based on it they were recruited and transferred so that the concept of mapping which was adopted will provide the business the required advantage. This was matched by the flexible nature demonstrated by the leader which helped Norton Lilly to put in place the require process, policies and system to achieve the desired result.
2. Performance management system is developing the required parameters which will be used to evaluate the performance of the employees so that based on it the compensation of an employee can be determined based on his performance against those parameters. Norton Lilly has followed the same mechanism and have developed a performance management system. The company has looked towards developing a Balance Score Card which contains the details of the different parameters based on which the employees performance will be evaluated. In the balance score card Norton Lilly has looked towards involving different parameters like the process, customer satisfaction and customer negotiation process which will transform into better customer satisfaction and finally into improved performance for the business. The parameters developed by Norton Lilly are based on different factors which the employees have been able to understand so that they are able to work in the desired direction. Using different parameters and also looking to fill the gaps that the employees have by providing the necessary training has acted as a motivational tool and ensured that the employees are able to improve their performance continuously. This has been reflected through their balance score card and has thereby ensured better services which has improved customer satisfaction and ensured proper evaluation of the compensation of the employees

Leadership approach is defined as a strategy which the business look towards adopting which will help to develop different mechanism through which the overall performance of the employee will be improved. Norton Lilly has ensured that the leadership approach used by the business is of a flexible nature. The leadership approach seems to be of a democratic form where all people are allowed to voice their opinion. Norton Lilly has looked towards following the same principle and based on it have allowed the employees to contribute by providing valuable suggestions. This has also acted as a motivational tool and has motivated the employees as they are able to associate with the organization in a better way. It has also ensured that Norton Lilly that they are able to divide the workforce into different groups based on their skills and knowledge. The company has thereby divided their entire business workforce into strategist, project director, net worker, and sales person based on the capabilities of the different employees. Dividing the workforce into different groups has helped them to ensure that the leader based on the requirements of the different groups is able to provide the required training which will help to ensure better results.

Norton Lilly in this direction looked towards using a policy of mapping where the business aims at developing the required framework which will ensure that all steps gain efficiencies and is completed only when the services and goods are finally transferred to the customers. Working on the different areas and developing the required process and system and making changes with the time have helped Norton Lilly to be able to gain efficiency.
