The report focuses on Societal Multi-Sport Club who are involved in football, hockey, rugby and handball and other non-paying tasks on behalf of the Regional Sports Victoria club. The concept behind the program is that many people get entertained as they entertain others in the process. The report provides information about who volunteers are in the game, the activities they carry out and why they carry them out. Why use this project for volunteer The project gives a chance to improve skills, knowledge, and the ability to particular games like football, athletic and rugby (Hoye, Cuskelly, Taylor and Darcy 2008, p.40). It also helps in the passing of the passion for games to others in the community. The multi-sport project attracts many players of different sports hence many volunteers such as the young, middle aged and the old may participate. They do not require recent experience to involve themselves in sports coaching. All their skills they acquire from the club as supervision takes place by their coaches. A person volunteering for the organization and qualifies for coaching trains others and pass their skills to other players and staffs. The project also assists in the satisfaction of the interactive social needs and individual development as there in the direct and indirect engagement of participants in the club. The use of the project for volunteer Sports help to involve children in activities that are healthier and fitter, and by so doing, they get a sense of belonging to the individual game with the aim of achieving a common goal. Through this person in the community become motivated to engage in games outside school which therefore keep them busy and prevent them from becoming part of wrong groups. Similarly, the activities shape their lives by giving them a purpose of living (Sotiriadou, Shilbury and Quick 2008, p.258). The volunteers after school get an opportunities to help others become specialists in the game club. The soccer game is most popular activity youths get involved in, and through this, they ask their parents or older adults from the community to join the club. Introduction Volunteer Development Community development is a challenging, diverse and demanding voluntary work that extends globally. Optional activities are rewarding since one get to learn a new culture and help the community achieve the importance of taking charge of their surroundings. The engagement improves social groups that are working together on the achievement of individual goals that will eventually strengthen their society. An individual who involves in activities that are meant for well-being only with no interest except to help improve the sports club is known as societal sports volunteer whose scope is at the community level. The role of this participants is many some of which include coaching, support functions, officiating, administration and organization of the group. The purpose of this project is the development of sport through voluntary activities and strategies like recruitment, training, and supervision to offer assistance to the particular audience. Voluntary work is a rich source of contribution and capital that helps in the growth and development of social cohesion and connections within societies (Atherley 2006, p.356). Volunteering plays a vital duty in offering opportunities for the elite group to engage in physical activities that activate their life style. Professionals have a great opportunity to sharpen their ability and pass on this knowledge to the next generation despite the fact that it also improves the humanitarian aid activities. Today, many ways of advancing life and reducing poverty and malnutrition are approaching internationally by the help of the voluntary group. Through the experience attained, the willing individuals can get a chance to full-time job positions in future. Methodology Posted adverts The section involved volunteer job description where enough information was written down in an understandable language for new volunteers to comprehend what the job entailed without overloading the tasks. The days required for the interview also mentioned including the required sports skills of the participants. According to (Giannoulakis, Wang and Gray 2007, p.192) the aim of the job description involved guiding the expectation of engagers and the firm and also protect both as per the activities outlined. Advertisement of the job was then put online as well as posted for the volunteers to see and get involved. Interview It is conducting and providing questions to the volunteers seeking for the required skills meant for the organization. 20 people showed up and were examined to see their communication skills as well as their knowledge whereby the interview panel selected 15 people. Eight volunteers were male and seven female one. Findings and Discussion Steps in volunteer program Involvement of volunteers plan was a strategic planning which determines how to get to the next level through specific actions. Volunteering would reduce illiteracy in the community by establishing the connection of experts who would help the organization in figuring out how to survive without finances. The importance of the volunteers should be reflected to prevent them from feeling neglected. Recruitment of volunteers In this step, people are chosen and convinced their importance in that they get categorized as per their potential and capability. The opportunities of volunteered considered factors such as time limit, children welfare and meeting of social need for adults to interact with others of different gender (Dobbinson, Hayman and Livingston 2006, p.122). The factors helped in attracting the volunteers and make them feel wanted and they get to attain skills they need. Various ways are used to recruit people, for example, placing an advertisement in the local paper, have meetings that provide information about the organization. Screening Those proving their services to the group undergo testing to ensure that appropriate people get the job. The one who poses a threat to the group gets rejected. It is of importance that members perform their duties legally to avoid issues with the court. Since the organization is responsible for activities carried out by the members (Darcy, Maxwell, Edwards, Onyx, and Sherker 2014, p.396) Screening removes unsuitable the willing members and thus help in avoiding risks. Tools used to screen the members included application letters, interview, reference letters and essay questions. Conduction of volunteers' orientation Candidates get chosen from the many received explanation of the organization basics, philosophy and their roles. The roles and responsibilities of each clearly stated in an understandable language for accountability purposes. Volunteers regularly received information concerning the organization as a way of recognizing them. Retention Participants get maintained through effective ways that include making a good, correct impression, asking for feedback, being supportive and inclusive and keeping them informed and developed so that they feel satisfied. Evaluation of program The selected, trained and equipped members underwent evaluation as they performed their task as they engage in sports activities in high schools, communities, and orphanages after every one month. Referees, coaches, linesmen, timekeepers, lifesavers, and caterers performed their duties appropriately hence they passed the evaluation test. Recognize the effort and rewarding After commendable activities had performed, awards such as certificates giving took place, celebrations such as dinner and lunches as well as gratitude took place. Roles of different volunteer Administrators The secretary is the principal administrator who provides a connection between the members, outside agencies, and executive committee. For the success of any club, a manager is very crucial. A competent Secretary offers coordination in club events such as fund-raisings and meetings (Bang and Chelladurai 2009, p.348). The core responsibilities include taking minutes in meetings, inward and outward communication and mailings, processing of word and administration as well as record and file maintenance. Officials They include referee, linesman, score keeper, stewards, and time keepers. They improve the organization of work and provide advice and penalties where necessary. They also put in authority and tackle responsibility. Coaches They include junior coach, assistant coach, team manager, and age group leader. The coaches ensure activities are safe and properly supervised at all time Event volunteers They include aid or water station and marshaling. The activities include involvement in the public occasions like seminars, spectator services, festivals, forum, cultural, art and marshaling events within the community. General volunteers They help around the group whenever their assistance is necessary for the achievement of the club's goals. Conclusions Participation of volunteers in sports activities is crucial for live sports system. People volunteer in the sport for many reasons such as passion for the game, the opportunity for interaction and for gaining skill to help the society, for excitement and enjoyment of sporting events, to support their children as well as giving back to the community. On the other hand, only a few people are willing to advocate such activities due to inadequate time for such activities, personal pressures such as family issues, experience, engagement in other leisure activities and lack of experience and exposure. With or without skills volunteers can receive training and development to suit the area they want to participate in and therefore they should willingly agree to volunteer when required. By this schools, communities and other social organization will benefit and will achieve the needed goals. Recommendations Sports clubs assist in developing volunteers who participate in the workshop which targets the provision of new experiences for volitional groups by selecting coordinators who aid in organizing the volunteer's job to reduce pressure. The director manages the interaction between all stakeholders to prevent conflict. There is need to show more appreciation and recognition of all voluntary groups to maintain them and provide a mentoring program to improve their skills. Application of community and social experiences is necessary for the fulfillment of development of the aims of the country. Therefore adoption of a reliable system that monitors recruitment and maintenance of volunteers and strategies that provide knowledge and interaction among members of the community and the shareholder should be implemented. The government also should provide the required resource to assist the club members in maintaining and upgrading their facilities. They also should recognize the presence of active group and provide rooms and storage space for all their meetings. The State should initiate annual awards to the clubs to ensure retention and dissemination of essential information of how volunteers should carry out management activities.
