The paper "Value Optimization through Supply Chain Strategy: The Case of Apple, Samsung, Htc and Huawei" is a wonderful example of a case study on management. The current business environment is characterized by a high degree of competitiveness, high rates of change, and increasing business constraints. With advances in the use of information technology, globalization, and short product life cycles, organizations are faced with the need of optimizing their supply chains. Seeking value optimization through a supply chain strategy can be an effective competitive and strategic advantage tool for many organizations.

This report examines how supply chain strategies have been used to optimize value in organizations. Using the mobile phone as a product, the report evaluates how different mobile phone manufacturers have optimized their supply chains in order to conform to different requirements by their clients. The report is divided into four distinct parts. In the first part, a comprehensive review of the literature on optimization is provided. All relevant concepts and findings on how different organizations seek to optimize their supply chains in conformity with the requirements of the clients are provided.

This section also gives a general introduction to the concept of optimization in line with supply chain management. In the second section, value optimization is analyzed in light of the practice in four different companies: Apple, Samsung, HTC, and Huawei. This section provides detailed information on how these companies have sought to optimize their supply chains in order to meet the client's expectations in terms of services, lead time, quality, and costs; respectively. Lastly, the theoretical and practical implications of the findings are presented in the fourth section of the report.2.0 LITERATURE REVIEWSupply chain management has undergone rapid changes in the recent past.

This has been a result of different factors; top among them being the rise of globalization and the new approaches to general business management practices, in general, and supply chain management, in particular. With the rise in the effect of these forces, there has been a rapid change in the business environment which has necessitated reactive changes in the manner in which businesses manage their supply chains.
