The paper "Effect of Human Resource Development Practices on Organization’s Agility in Jordan " is a perfect example of a management research paper. With the fact that the world is becoming more and more globalised, it is imperative that to remain relevant and competitive, organizations in various parts of the world too, have to align themselves with this development trend. Further, organizations have to use organizational development to transform, their processes, systems, products, services and strategies (Cummings & Worley, 2009) (Pettigrew, et al., 2001). This idea of organizations adapting to changes in the environment to remain on track and assert their position has led to the development of a new concept known as organization agility (Mcann, et al., 2009) (Glenn, 2009). As this concept is embraced the people of an organization are an important resource to the organization and their development should be in line with this development to realize maxim utilization and productivity (Breu, et al., 2002) (Pulakos, et al., 2000).

The idea is to make any organization adaptable to the changes, through development, in order to improve organizational effectiveness as well as build an organizational/leadership culture. This would ensure superior performance for the organization. It has been found that the organizations which are able to employ capable human resource to carry out the said development in order to adapt to the changes have two characteristics, namely a culture of high performance and effective leadership (Robertson & Cooper, 2011).

However, it is important to focus on the effective implementation of developmental strategies as it in turn significantly helps any company to continuously and rapidly transform and reinvent itself to adapt to market and changes (Mintzberg, 2011).

As per the survey that was conducted by Hay Group on Best corporations for Leadership, it was indicated that 100% of the best corporations have programs to develop people in leadership positions who can gather resources from all over the corporation. This reflects a possible correlation between leadership development and organizational development. Continuous improvisation of individuals, teams, and organizational abilities is needed to optimize the potential of people, which is a crucial driver of long term success for any organization.
