The paper "Internal and External Factors that Impact on the Employment Relationship " is an outstanding example of a management report. The employment relationship is guarded mostly by company policies. Be that as it may, there are situations that may affect the relationship between the employer and the employee. These may come from within or without.

Internal factors may include:

  • Poor pay is not commensurate with the worker's output in terms of work done. This may mean that the employee starts viewing the organization as oppressive, hence may not give their all when accomplishing tasks meant to help the organization reach its core goals.
  • Discrimination may also affect the employment relationship in an organization. When work is discriminated against or victimized for some reason, there is bound to be a strained relationship between him and those that are in charge of the management of company affairs. This means that the company is likely to face lawsuits and other charges that may lower its achievements in the eyes of prospective employees and other stakeholders.

External factors that affect employment relationship include:

  • The private lives of employees sometimes get in the way of their work life. This is an external factor that more often than not affects the way one performs at their workplace, hence may in one way or another affect the employment relationship since it can either boost or reduce the work rate of an employee.
  • Secondly, other stakeholders like the government, investors, and others like competition may also influence employee status in various ways. For instance, when the industry issues guidelines on standard salary packages for employees when an organization does not meet the threshold for such, then the employees may be affected and may even seek to resign and join the organizations that meet the set standards in remuneration.

Types of Employment Status

Generally, there are three types of employment status, and they are:

  • Employee:

Employees are generally the largest group of working-class people all over the world. The term employee does not actually refer to the same term as a worker. Every employee is a worker, but they are also so much more. An employee is entitled to a much wider range of rights than any other class of individuals (Hampton, 2014). But they do not only enjoy added rights, but all have to serve a number of added responsibilities (Hampton, 2014).
