My interest in the course came about following the exposure in sales. Apart from that, I had led many materials on hospitality management. My interest was further reinforced by my work during the summer intern where I gained the skills in sales. Studying the Hospitality Management’s master’s degree at Les Roches in Switzerland is an essential course because offers professional opportunity to ensure the acceleration of managerial as well as entrepreneurial career in the field of hospitality and this is achieved through building strategic and practical expertise. Through academic study as well as continual assessment, students gain the capacity to discover their style of leadership in real-world and practical assignment. The course also ensures that the student is developing leadership skills and insights in organizational change and strategic management, problem solving, communication, innovation, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and creativity. Through the course, the students gain the capacity to comprehend, develop, as well enhance the success of the team, ensuring the forward movement of the business in the globalized economy. The learning processes as well as tools help in optimizing the skills’ development that allows an individual to explore challenges in leadership in the changing global environment of business (Roches Global Hospitality Education 2016, p. 1). Switzerland is strategically located at Europe’s heart offering the best multilingual population’s cultural heritage as well as the finest landscape in the globe. The country is safe as well as friendly. Switzerland is an easy place where the student can not only study but also identify himself/herself with the people as well as the culture. Centrally located in Europe, the country offers the best opportunity for studying hospitality because of the conditions it presents. Studying in Switzerland ensures that one is enjoying the country’s safe environment as well as its exceptional cultural diversity and natural beauty. Apart from that, the country is modern and also characterized with high standards of living. The country has among the best tourism and transport infrastructure in the globe and this enhances its accessibility. The major cities within Switzerland are situated within one hour to three hours by car or train. Its central location within Europe provides one with a chance to visit as well as experience other cities across Europe including London, Milan, and Paris. In addition, the political condition of Switzerland is stable providing a secure future for the student. The reputation of the country in terms of the multicultural understanding, safety, as well as stability has attracted the presence of many global organizations including International Red Cross Society, foreign corporations, World Economic Forum, as well as the United Nations. Consequently, the country has a rich history of hospitality that dates back more than 100 years back when the building of the first ever palace-styled hotels took place. The hotel industry has since then grows making the country to be reputable hospitability hub. To achieve this, the country embarked on systemizing the hotel operations’ systems. The institution is of world class and its strategic location within Switzerland is an added advantage. Apart from that, the program is suitable for me because it provides me with the norms, principles, as well as values essential for the development of business strategies in the hospitality industry. The course is also essential because it offers me the skill of ensuring the instituting as well as implementation of responsible and efficient steps to ensure the satisfaction of the customers. The choice of this career is also driven by the fact that it offers me a chance to have a great interaction with various people. In addition, the study of this course will assist me in the skill of mastering methods of analysis, business principles, as well as strategic management. I joined Shung Tak Catholic English College in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2014 and in 2014; I joined the University of Leicester in the UK and I am currently pursing my studies there. I worked as a sales internship at Wing Yip Metal Manufacturing Limited in Hong Kong during the summer and this greatly helped me in the development of the communication skills. The choice of Switzrerland as the country where I can pursue my course is because of its nature of being more international compared to Hong Kong. The country has also built a reputation of being a top tourist destination. On top of that, the policy of the government has also provided the country with the favorable environment of ensuring the growth of the tourism industry. The course will also offer me the skill of financial management such as identification of cost, the analysis of cost volume, pricing issues, activity-based and full costing analysis, and the budget preparation as well as use. After school, I plan to leave Switzerland and head to the UK where I will practice my career in Hospitality industry. The choice of the UK as the site for practicing my career is driven by the stability of the economy as well the well-developed tourism infrastructure. The hospitality industry in the UK is well established and is employing numerous people. Apart from that, other sectors of the economy have such as transport, communication, and the financial sectors have the tendency of relying on the hospitality industry. The strategic location of the US also ensures that numerous tourists across the around the world are continuously flocking the UK thus enhancing the growth of the hospitality industry. While in UK, I plan to look for a job in the hospitality industry. The beauty of the UK makes it to maintain its popularity, making it a top destination for tourists. The fact that numerous tourists keeps arriving in the nation is a sign that my career will keep growing. The nation’s hospitality industry is growing at a fast rate. I will aim at climbing the ladder by gaining experience through working in various hotels across the UK. With the master’s degree in Hospitality Management, I intend to begin my career from the lowest level to the highest. I am also planning on working hard to ensure that the program would lead me to the top level management in the hospitality industry. The experience I gained as a sales agent shall go a long way in helping me to be established in the hospitality industry. Subsequently, I am planning to capitalize on my existing proficiencies as well as ensure the application of what is already known to me as I embark with the career in the UK. Through the utilization of hospitality fundamentals, I intend to continue growing my career. As a dynamic, vast, as well as growing industry, hospitality management course will ensure that I am acquiring a tremendous chance of working with people in an environment characterized by high competition. I have already developed a strong foundation in business mainly in sales and this skill will be essential in assisting me to developing the skill of customer service. The combination of life as well as business skill will enable me to build a successful career in management. The exposure in various hotels in Switzerland at the course of my study will help me familiarize myself with the conditions of working in the hotel within the UK. The UK has numerous openings in the hospitality jobs and, therefore, I will not be out of job for a long time. Having pursued a career in hospitality management will give me a clear limelight of climbing over the success ladder. The presence of numerous hotels across the UK is also important factor for relocating to the country. In addition, I will be exposed to numerous environments of work where I will utilize my skills, talents as well as education. The growth of the hospitality industry in the UK is a key factor in enhancing the growth of my career. The wealth as well as the employment produced through the industry of the hospitality in the UK ensures the provision of job opportunities. Other skills that will enable me to succeed in the career in hospitality industry will include the ability to manage time, communication skills, as well as the ability to learn from others.
