This will greatly reduce the congestion on the queue when making payments. The staffs who were not customers to Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Cafe are also joining us for our good services. We will ensure that we deliver the meals before time to maintain the close rapport that we have already created with our customers. Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Cafe still focuses on the realization of the set vision that mainly aims at maintaining the best position in the area and also to extend the services beyond the serving regions. SWOT Analysis of Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Cafe Every business should have a SWOT analysis to understand the conditions of the business regarding; business strength, business weaknesses and also the business will stand a better position to identify the business opportunities and the threats that the business is facing in the market. In the SWOT analysis, the business is viewed in both internal perspectives where the strengths and weaknesses of the business are addressed, and an external perspective; the opportunities and threats are addressed from an external view where the business competitors and the customers play a central role. Strengths of the business Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café has several advantages that make it successive in the market. In the café, we have well-trained chefs who meet all the qualifications. The presence of the qualified chefs makes our cafe prepare high-quality meals with a high level of hygiene being observed. The chefs are also in a position to serve our customers at the shortest time possible, and this ensures that our customers are not delayed as they wait to be served. In our café, we also offer affordable meals. The affordable meals are reflected in our menu, and this is what mainly makes our restaurant different from our competitors. The reason for the low cost of our meals is; the presence of our competing suppliers who have always supplied fresh commodities to us at affordable prices. The business is also viewed as the best café within the area; this is part of the business' strength since the customers have been influential to new customers who have shown a lot of interest in services offered by Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café. The target customers are likely to increase because the café has been known to be the best customer serving café in the region. The café does not only offer meals but also give chances to artists, poets and also readers. This concern for the artists is achievable through the; presence of well-designed halls to allow stage performance opportunities. The café is also doing well in customer services; a close rapport has been created between our customers and also the staff. The close rapport ensures that in our café we are in a position to get feedbacks from our customers on our, weaknesses and also our strengths. This ensures that we respond to challenges immediately they arise. The business also has a locality advantage; café is located at Collins St Melbourne where it can reach many customers from different organizations. This serves as an advantage to the business since it can reach so many customers within that busy region. The business has dominated the market in the region. This makes it be the price maker, and the emerging businesses are suppressed and are not in a position to realize heavy profits as Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café does. This is because many customers are attracted by the affordable menu items and the services offered in our café by our committed staff. Our cafe has also developed an idea to ensure that our customers can access newspaper to purchase in the morning as they get to their jobs. This ensures that we safe time for our customers who wish to purchase newspapers. They can access the newspapers as they take their breakfast and those who cannot be in a position to purchase a copy can read the copies in the cafe meant for our customers. Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café has been in Collins St Melbourne for many years. Gloria Cafe has, therefore, has won the loyalty of our vendors and our customers. This ensures that our old customers do not leave us but encourages new customers to join us. Weaknesses of Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café The café just like any other business experiences several weaknesses, to start with, the number of staff are few to serve the entire café. The staffs in our café are few and this has clearly challenged our business. The number of customers has been increasing day by day out. This has led to a demand for new staff in our café. The staffs are forced to work even for extra hours in order to ensure efficiency of the café. The staff working for extra hours means that the café has to incur an extra cost concerning overtime payment. The long hour works also denies our staff enough time to rest in order for them to enjoy the working condition. The other weakness the business experiences is, time wastage for our customers. Many of the customers have been complaining that there is a lot of time wastage especially due to the long queues during payment. This has led many customers to avoid attending to our café especially in the morning hours at 10 am. The business has set a new strategy in which it will be in a position to avoid the long queues. Our customers will be in a position to book for our services online and we will deliver meals direct to their workstations. This will ensure that the congestion in the café will be avoided and give a new room for new customers to be accommodated (Mishra, 2013). The customers will also be in a position to pay for the services while they are still seated in their offices and also at their convenient time. The cafe also experiences some debts that it owes to the suppliers. The debts that the business has been experiencing, may affect the cafe negatively if it is not in a position to repay the debts soon. The debts are likely to affect the supplies that we receive if we cannot raise the money within the set time frame to repay back our debts. Opportunities in that are experienced by Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café Our business is set at Collins St Melbourne where there are many customers whom we keep targeting. The business has already enrolled new suppliers who are supplying us with fresh commodities. The suppliers are both aboriginals and also foreigners. This has given our business a chance to explore the desires of foreigners who visit in our region. The local government also has a new initiative that aims at the encouragement of the local businesses. This has also become an opportunity to our business since the government is issuing loans to the local business with very low-interest rate and this will help us expand our business. The business has also recorded a reasonable expansion with rising opportunities for future business development. The ability of our business to respond to the technological changes has also contributed to our success. The market has responded quickly to the new technological changes, unlike our competitors who are still struggling to catch up with the new technology. This ensures that the Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café uses the new technology to offer service to the customer, which will lead to efficiency and accuracy of our accountability. The inability of our competitors to coup up with the changing levels of technology enables us to be very competitive in the market. This also helps us to dominate the market and be in a position to suppress our competitors since we are the price makes in the market. New institutions are still emerging to start their offices in Collins St Melbourne. This will lead to a positive change in our business. There will be an increase in the number of customers we are to serve. The newly establishing offices will introduce new consumer, and we will be looking for a way in which we are going to reach them. The number of passengers traveling by train is still increasing, due to the new transport policy by the local government to support rail. This signals success in our business shortly. The companies around have promised a salary increment to their staff (Zhang, 2013). The staffs are expected to have their salaries increased by 15% of their previous salaries as a way of motivating their workers. To us as business men especially Gloria cafe we appreciate the increment of the wages to the staffs. The salary increment means that the level of expenditures by the staffs will increase and also the social status of these staffs will have to change, and they will forego cheap meals and start taking expensive meals. The central government has also ordered the closure of understanding cafes which have been offering reduced meals under poor hygiene. The closure of these substandard cafes reflects that we are in a position to record a high level of profit in the long run ( Godsey, 2010). The government has also introduced business institutions where they offer diploma and certificates. Our staffs can further their knowledge especially when they are out during their annual leave which is usually three months. We subsidize their fees to motivate them to acquire the relevant knowledge which will ensure that our staffs are in a position to coup up with the changing technology. The rising level of deflation the country has positively affected the business. The debt we owed our creditor will be payable easily since the nation currency is gaining value. This will significantly influence our financial stability in the long run. Our business will be among the firm which will benefit as a result of the deflation increasing in our country. Threats faced by Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café. The business has been facing several threats in the market. Various competitors are arising in the market. These new cafes are 6trying to run against Gloria cafe. The business competitors are looking for other small business to merge. This will help them to bear less risk in the market and also to offer a tough competition to our cafe. The government has also introduced a massive taxation to our business. According to Burrow (2011), the high tax imposed by the government will have a negative impact on our café. This is because; we will be forced to purchase fewer products the suppliers to maximize our profits. We will also bear a loss in tha6t the level of taxation will affect the salaries that we offer to our workers. This means that the business will have a less profit that discourages us from giving extra services to our employees like before. These services included; subsidizing the stuff for academic progress, awarding of gifts to our staff during the annual general meeting and also will cost us more in the advertisement programs. The business has been offering their services at a lower price compared to the rest of the emerging cafes in the region (Markendahl, & Makitalo, 2007). The rest have set a higher price but a similar price. This has become a threat to our business. The customers are attempted to think that the reason for these low prices is because our services are poor. They are not in a position to understand the reasons as to why we set a lower price. We have found difficult to convince most of the current customers the reasons we set a low [price for our services. The government proposal to change the venue of the train station is a threat to our business. We have had many customers from the train station. This means that we are likely to have a significant loss should the government proposal go through. The transfer of the train station does not only detach us with the staff but also the customers who have frequently been traveling by train. Foreign customers who also find their way to Melbourne by train will also look for new cafes near the new train station. Our suppliers also transport their products to us by train. This means that the system of carriage will have to be affected and possibly could result in an increase in the product price. The other threat we are facing is that our previous funding source has passed a notice to withdraw within the next 13 months. The fund that we have been receiving from the funding source has been assisting us to advertise our product which is more expensive. Should the funding source withdraw, we will face a challenge in the advertisement sector since we will have to constrain our budget to cater for our product advertisement. Franchising Gloria Jeans Coffees Café aims at enlarging its market to reach out to many customers who are beyond the region of our locality. We also aim at maximizing output and minimize our inputs for us to attain a reasonable profit level. According to Pinson, (2008) the set goals and objectives are the primary source of our inspiration to keep us focused on the achievement of these goals and also to fulfill our vision and mission. Our staffs are also determined to ensure that we work together and also create a suitable environment for our customers. The cafe workers also are working hard to ensure that the resources are not wasted. They will be working according to the seasons to make sure that there is no or less food wastage. This will help us to realize one of our goals to increase the level of revenue for the business. References Burrow, L. I. (2011). SunShine Café: A Breakfast Restaurant Business Plan. Godsey, J. A.
