Compliance related planning Compliance relating planning is an integral part of any project because it improves the changes of success of the given project. It contains a list of important activities that should be taken in to consideration during the planning process namely Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) Security (including the C&A process) Enterprise Architecture Section 508 Compliance Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) PHIN related requirements (PHIN Vocabulary and PHIN Messaging) Application and Server hosting requirements (e.g., Secure Data Network, Mid- Tier Data Center, Designated Server Sites and other ITSO requirements) 2. Risk Management A risk is a condition or event that takes place prior or during an event and that could have a negative or positive effect on the objective and outcome of the project.. A risk management plan is a tool that can be utilized to identify, assess, report, monitor, and respond to these risks. The project management team prepared a risk management plan to monitor, record the activities of the project and to identify, analyze and manage any risks that may arise during the lifecycle of the event. The project management plan contains practices and templates for prioritizing and recording risks. Quality Quality is successfully managing a project to the point that it meets or exceeds a customer’s expectation through deliverables or actions that produce an excellent service or product. Quality panning is crucial because it affects the scheduling and costs of a project. A project plan is the best way of managing quality because it identifies that the activities that need to be carried out to make sure the project meets the customer’s quality expectations. The plan is based on the quality standards set by the clients or by the managing organization. It includes several kinds of quality assurance techniques. It records all the important information needed to manage the quality of the project effectively, right from the planning stage to delivery. It defines the quality procedures, policies, roles, authorities of a project. The quality management plan is designed during the projects planning phase. Its target is the project sponsors, the project team, and the project manager. 3.1. Project quality management overview 3.1.1.1. The quality-planning director had to establish the definition of quality in the context of the event and establish quality measurement tools. 3.2.1.1.1.1. Project quality measurement To ensure that quality is maintained the quality-planning director came up with monitoring processes and desired metrics that can be utilized to measure the quality standards during the anniversary celebrations. The director developed a quality measument plan. The director came up with a quality analysis log that is to be used to assess the level of degree an activity has on the quality and overall success of the event.
