The paper "Strategic Management within the Public Sector Organizations of the UAE" is a perfect example of a management research paper. In addition, the previous chapters focused on important characteristics of change management prior to the discussion of change management in the public sector within the case of UAE, specifically Abu Dhabi. The literature review also examined change management in private vs. public entities in the case of the UAE. In this chapter, the focus will discuss the research methods and the methodological stance of the study. More particularly, this chapter will focus on addressing the following areas of the research:

Expansion and restatement of the research objectives
Examination of the semi-structured qualitative interviewing technique
The chapter will also describe and illustrate the analysis of data from interviews

Categorically, it is essential to structure the methodological chapter as follows:

Section 3.1.1 concentrates on the concept of ‘the research pyramid’.
Section 3.1.2 integrates justification for utilizing the qualitative method approach for the study.
Section 3.1.3 examines diverse philosophical assumptions underpinning the study or research.
Section 3.2 discusses the research design.
Section 3.3 concentrates on the location of the research or study.
Section 3.4 discusses ethical consideration in relation to collection and analysis of the study
Section 3.5 examined the method of data collection (semi-structured interviews).
Section 3.6 discussed the method of data analysis.
Section 3.7 concentrates on the summary and conclusion

Section 3.1.1

The objective of this section is to present the ‘research ladder’ with the intention of illustrating diverse rungs of the ladder enabling the research to ascend to the top with reference to the achievement of the goal of the study or the research geographically. In this context, ‘research ladder’ is essential in the provision of an overview concerning assumptions, methods, and methodology in the development and execution of the study.
