The personal and professional development plan activities are said to be dynamic as they are said to change. The is based on the hierarchy of needs as presented by Maslow theory where satisfaction of personal or professional need results in the desire to achieve other requirements about personal and professional development. As a result, the professional and personal development needs can be said to exist in a hierarchy where satisfaction of one need leads to the desires to satisfy the next need. After the basic professional needs that can involve achieving some professional traits such as decisions making skills, communication skills and problem-solving abilities, it is crucial to ensure satisfaction in the professional field are achieved (Kuh, 130). This can be possible with continuous updates of the activities needed to achieve the needed personal and professional developments. The development plan I have has made some steps ahead due to the skills obtained through the appraisal forums and training. The skills acquiring process of has been continuous where after achieving the most basic skills, the need for other advanced skills arise resulting in updates to the development plan considering the evaluation and the feedback obtained. In personal development, there are various aspects of an individual which are entailed in this field of development. In connection with the personal development, there are various key components which are emphasized mostly in ensuring that there is a holistic advancement in an individual. Also, these various components usually contribute towards the achievement of both emotional and mental maturity of a person. However, in the enhancement of development of an individual, some activities should be taken to promote an efficient advancement (Fuller, 126). Therefore, these certain activities are usually done in a continuous prose thus contributing to progressive growth in a person. Besides, there is always a lot of expertise which is usually required in the enhancement of desirable characteristics which eventually result in making good and autonomous decisions of life. On the other hand, some organizations have started to make use training programs to enhance the performance of individuals. Additionally, there are always components which contribute towards the holistic development of individuals who are going through training. However, there are believes that this training programs usually contribute to the mental development of a person. Training programs are mainly used in the places of work since they are made to develop professional advancement in certain fields. For instance, if there are some skills which are not there, then the training program will be therefore tailored to close the gap which is being experienced (Hu, 325). Therefore, both efficiency and effectiveness can be realized in a certain organization as a result of making use of the training program. These programs usually help individuals to achieve some of their short term goals. Moreover, the biggest desire of many individuals is to achieve specific professional expertise. However, the professional expertise is therefore acquired via the training programs in certain areas. Also, the majority of the organizations usually have the motive to improve their quality in production to get position competitively in the market. Through the training program, the production out will, therefore, increase since programs enhance expertise. On top of attaining quality production, the goals and objectives of an organization are also achieved. However, some training activities aim at the realization of some independent actions. Besides, through the training programs, critical thinking of many employed individuals usually advance first. The objective reasoning of people give judgments in various occurrences, and therefore this eliminates any bias. However, the mind is usually involved in the critical consideration of the advancement. Therefore, people should always come up with clear and logic decisions which are not tempered by any obstacle, and this can only be achieved through training which promotes the development. There are some challenges which are always obstacles to development as well as objective thinking and therefore they should be greatly avoided under all circumstances. Firstly, any wrong deductions should be avoided because both actions and experiences are analyzed first before reaching a conclusion. During interactions between various individuals, makes sharing of ideas be easy therefore social appreciation is promoted. Additionally, the skills and knowledge acquired through these activities usually contribute to the development of personality traits. However, personal temperaments should always be considered during the preparation of log sheet (Hu, 330). Some of the aspects to be considered includes communication which is quite an important aspect used in the handling of issues. However, individuals need to understand that this aspect of communication requires a lot of effort because this field of development is quite wide. For an individual to be fluent when communicating to others, the person should possess the interpersonal intelligence. Interpersonal intelligence involves an individual to internalize and understand a message before transferring it to anybody else. However, communication skills usually vary from a person to another depending on the type of individuals the usually associate with during the time of communication. The skills of communication are greatly supported by the intelligence of an individual. Also, the awareness of a person usually plays a major role in ensuring that a person knows his or her own emotional and intellectual strength (Gmelch, 460). The development of skills does not only develop the way a person handles a certain issue but also it usually increases the effectiveness of projecting ideas and decisions that need to be delivered at a certain time. Additionally, a major component in development at a personal level is usually the ability to solve problems and also the intuitiveness in handling some issues. On the other hand, this means that any individual who is in charge of leadership; always go through some difficult challenges while handling their tasks and also their assigned duties (Kuh, 136). However, for a person to be able to tackle challenges that come across him or her, some skills and traits should be applied to realize the goal of managing. These traits include patience, and this trait allows an individual to make use of time in viewing the challenges from different perspectives. For instance, in case a conflict arises in the workplace, it is important for a person to remain patient and listen keenly to the issues raised by various parties concerning the problem. Also, mediation is the significant way in which a problem is solved. 3.2 development activities as planned. Various activities are necessary for the in the process of achieving the development plan. The activities are expected to be the measures of achieving the set objectives in my personal and professional development plans. The activities are responsible for shaping my professional and personal plans. The personal and professional plans can be achieved through coming up with strategies. These strategies can include using performance appraisal needed in the process of measuring the progress of the professional and personal development process (Hu, 325). This entails comparing the resulting performance with the set performance to assess whether the objectives of the organization are achieved. This way usually includes comparing the performances of results against the programs of training. Also, through this way, an individual can carry out a comparison between his or her performance with the development plan .In case there is any similarity between the results of performance the original plan strategy, then it is a clear indication that the mechanism applied is successful. For instance, if the aim of the original planning strategy is to attain the necessary skills for good customer care services, then this is usually observed to assist in considering the level of customers` satisfaction (Fuller, 126). However, this will ensure that the required results are achieved within a given period. Gap analysis is also another crucial factor which should be put into consideration when implementing the plan of development. These analyses usually involve the consideration of the gap that is there between the acquired skills and required skills regarding the plan of development. Other mechanisms such as training among others are usually carried out based on the kind of existing gap. In case, the skills in decision making are poor, and then a training program should be necessary to impart good skills of making the decision to the people. However, the already existing experts are not put into consideration for the procedures of training (Musch, 151). A continuous appraisal is therefore conducted to ensure that there is efficiency in the time of delivering customer care services. Among the skills and traits which are required may be more or less intrinsic and this usually depends on the internal willingness of an individual and his or her effort in attaining them. Therefore, there is an implication that decision-making and problem-solving aspects do emphasize on time management as an important tool that can be useful in the process of achieving the set objectives. However, it is of great importance to cultivate proper time management routine through consistent practice as well as training. 3.3 critical reflection Critical reflection is important in the process of ensuring that the development plan progress is in line with the set objectives. Some of the operational ways are being considered important in the process of evaluating the progress made by a development plan and the achievements already achieved through the plan. However, the SWOT analysis has played a vital role through analyzing of both weaknesses and strength, therefore, assisting the individuals to improve on the areas of weaknesses. Also, there are some changes which assist in developing possible ways in which the development plans can be achieved efficiently (Hu, 331). However, some opportunities provide platforms for advancing personal and also professional skills. Professional and personal development are considered critical to the professional and personal level of operating in an interactive manner. It is through the development plan that I can be in a position to ensure relevance in the job market through acquiring skills and knowledge that can improve performance. My personal and professional development is mainly focusing on aspects that can be associated with customer relations, the management, and communication, decision-making and problem-solving (Kuh, 140). Achieving the above aspects can be crucial in ensuring that the personal and professional skills can be competitive in the market as they can assist in achieving competitive advantages in the organization. This is possible through offering high-quality services making the customers satisfied due to the good service encounter. Adjustments needed for improved activities in future Various activities need to be adjusted to ensure that they are in line with the development plan objectives. The adjustments of the activities include acquiring the necessary professional and personal skills that are necessary for the market. A significant aspect of advancement at a personal and professional level is a correct decision making, which usually requires a thorough research concerning issues at hand. Decision making also requires consultation with different people who may be the decisions (Hu, 330). Communication skills are also crucial in the process of improving the working conditions where ensuring proper communication can assist in establishing the good working environment. Therefore, it is important to address both creative and critical issues concerning the matter and situation too. However, interpersonal intelligence and good techniques of the solving problem are important aspects of professional development. 3.4 Update of the development plan Through ensuring interactions between various people with different cultures and mental perspectives assists in understanding the ways in which personal skills are achievable. Besides, the application of the personal skills can contribute towards ensuring the professional development. Various platforms can be utilized in the process of ensuring that these personal and professional goals are achieved. First, it is essential to ensure that evaluations are conducted to assess the progress of the development plan. It is through the evaluation that the areas that need to be improved and the necessary strategies are taken to achieve the set objectives (Hu, 330). The feedback obtained concerning the progress of the development plan need to be used in the process of identifying the necessary skills and knowledge that need to be improved in the process of achieving the goals of the development plan. This can involve adjusting the career goals to be in line with the development plan where the necessary skills that can assist in achieving the set objectives can be given priority. Second, in the process of updating my development plan, it is crucial to ensure that there is the necessary understanding on how these essential personal skills are acquired in the process of ensuring that the professional skills are enhanced critical. This can entail the availability of obtaining the necessary ideas that can be used in the process updating the development plans considering the feedback and the available evaluations (Musch, 157). The ideas need to be innovative in the process of ensuring that the necessary activities are carried out to achieve the set goals. Getting different ideas from people can be crucial in development the personal skills through interactions with different people who have diverse perspective concerning various issues. The methodology of appraisal forms and continuous practice has played a crucial role in developing my personal skills. Through interactions, I have been a better chance to learn more about the issues related to handling people from diverse cultural groups. For instance, my social skills have developed that are essential in ensuring that I can achieve personal and professional development. Besides, interactions do create high chances of learning more about how to deal with diverse people hence contributing a lot to personal development (Kuh, 150). It is important managers to understand that the perianal and professional development process needs all round reasoning perspectives when handling issues. Also, in the process of ensuring that the personal and professional development plans are achieved, it is crucial to ensure the timely and practical approach to the way issues are handled. Workforce diversity that is present in many organizations can be crucial in personal development skills and enhance professionalism. This is because the employees are now in a position to interact with other employees from various backgrounds who have diverse experiences. Through the interactions with employees with different experiences personal and professional skills can be developed easily. Besides, working in an environment that has people with different traits and personal goals can assist in making an adjustment of the set development plans hence updating the development plans to achieve the set objectives in a better way (Feudtner, 670). Despite the differences in the cultural background, the employees have to work in a team and with harmony hence making it essential to learn on how to adapt to a diverse working environment. In the process of adapting to learn the bet ways of ensuring that goods relations are assured despite the differences, personal development can be attained. Therefore, it is necessary to make sure that a good working environment is created that can assist in the development of personal and professional development. 4.1 Select solutions to work-based problems. There is the need to ensure that there the solutions that can address the possible work-based problems that can be a challenge in the professional and personal development. In the process of finding solutions to a problem, there are basic steps which are usually followed by individuals. These steps include one should identify the main issue which is causing the problem to arise and involve different individuals since they might have different opinions concerning the same issue. Later in the process, a person should make a list of issues which you have identified within the process. Also, in the process of solving a problem an individual should understand the various interests of people. This is a crucial step which involves satisfaction of different needs to get into a solution (Musch, 154). In the process of problem solving, a good final solution will always satisfy the interests of various people concerned. Also, a mediator should always listen actively and list down the differences between different individuals and listen to each attentively with the intention of understanding them. After listening and understanding all the interests of people concerning the problem, then an individual should, therefore, make a list of all possible solutions. However, this is the appropriate time when brainstorming should get done because there may be room for creativity. After making a list of all options, then a person should evaluate the options keenly considering the both negative and positive effects of each. Then, select one of the options which are the most appropriate and most satisfying to the solution (Kuh, 138). After coming into an agreement with the both parties, a mediator should write down the agreements in a document for the purpose of reference in case the same problem arises again in future. Through writing them down, makes it easy for the individuals to think deeply concerning the details and implications of the agreement. Lastly, for an effective solution to a certain problem, more time and attention is quite important since less time and attention may result in a problem not being solved well. However, a problem is usually like a curve. 4.2 The variety of styles Numerous styles can be employed in the process of communicating how the professional and personal development plan can be realized. The styles can be incorporated to ensure that the development plan as a set can be achieved in the right manner. This can entail communicating the development plan can entail coming up with the necessary activities that need to be done to achieve the goals of the development plan. In the process of achieving professional skills, it is necessary to ensure that the right environment that can perfect the professional skills is available. For instance, I have been exposed to various management environments that have played a crucial role in perfecting my professional skills. Besides, I have plans for developing my professional skills further through training programs and internships in management positions that can perfect my professionalism. Through experiences, I have realized the areas of strengths and weaknesses that can affect my professional and personal development plan. As a result, the need to ensure that the areas of strengths are maximized to enhance the development process, and the weaknesses managed to ensure that they cannot hinder achievement of the set objectives (Feudtner, 675). The training programs can offer a wonderful platform that can enhance professional and personal skills in different positions related to management. Besides, through the training program gap analysis can be possible by determined the demands in the labor market. This can be crucial in ensuring that the necessary skills development to ensure ha the personal and professional skills is relevant in the market. It is through gap analysis that the areas that need improvement can be identified and the right measures adopted to achieve the set objectives of the development plan. The market expectations can easily be determined through internships where the level of the necessary skills can be realized. For instance, through the interns, I have realized the need to ensure that communication skills are perfect in the process of achieving the personal and professional plan. Communication can be considered crucial in the process of achieving the development plans, where enhancing communication can help to attain personal devolvement. I do ensure that I improve my communication skills using social media and the technological platforms that help in perfecting my communication skills. I have acquired most of my communication skills through interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Besides, through the experiences I have gained in the working environment has shaped my decision-making skills, problem-solving tactics hence assisting in improving my professionalism (Gmelch, 450). The experiences that I have acquired through extensive research have been of great benefit in the process of solving problems leading to improved ability of handling problems in my workplace, and also ensure effective decision making. 4.3 time management strategies. Time management is an important aspect of the personal and professional development plan as the relevant activities that can guarantee achievement of the professional and personal goals need time. Proper utilization of the available time is crucial in the process of achieving the set objectives of the development plan. As a result, considering the role played by time in achieving personal and professional goals, there is the need to ensure that the time management strategies are in place to guarantee proper utilization of the time available (Kuh, 155). For an effective time management, an individual should make a plan on how to utilize his or her own time. One should make a record on how you have been spending time for a certain period, thus from there you get to know which task has been consuming most of the time. After that one is now able to determine whether you have invested your time on significant activities or not. Then after making a plan of your activities, then you should prioritize them putting into consideration about the most important and urgent activities. However, the simplest method to prioritize activities is to make a list whereby an individual requires a daily, weekly or a monthly list but it all depends on with a person`s lifestyle. While ranking your list, you should list all your activities according to the priority. However, some of the experts have encouraged the use of planning tool in improving the productivity of an individual (Musch, 150). These planning tools include electronic Planners, Calendars, and computer programs among others. Importantly, a person is required to identify a certain planning tool which will work best for you and utilize it consistently. A person should be organized to avoid poor management of time. There on, you should schedule your time well since it usually involves one to make a time commitment in the activities one needs to do. A good schedule involves planning of the most difficult tasks during the time when one is not tired. Through the process of delegation, you can get assistance from others. This involves identifying tasks which other people can do them and therefore select the appropriate person to do the task (Fuller, 126). Perhaps, through the breakdown of tasks, a less time is required thus result in realistic deadlines. Some external factors may lead to a wastage of time, and therefore you should strategize on how to do decrease time used in the activities. By avoiding multi-tasking of activities actually, help in the elimination of time wastage. While scheduling time, it is healthy to allocate some time for relaxing because relaxation assists to rejuvenate body both physically and mentally. However, when the time is managed poorly can effect such as fatigue and frequent illness. In addition to the management of time, you should always take your time on evaluating how you have carried your activities. Besides, the professional capabilities can guarantee excellent problem-solving process that can ensure harmony in the workplace hence assisting in achieving the set organizational aims. In the implementation process, I realized that the best strategies for achieving the personal goals are through engaging interactions with people with diverse experiences. The engagement can include various forums, learning from others, conducting research and ensuring continuous practice. My professional abilities can be achieved through training programs and interns that can perfect my professional skills. Therefore, through developing professional and personal abilities, I will be in a better position to achieve my career goals in the process of preparing for a professional and competitive working environment.
