Human demonstrates complex behavior as the behavior of each person is distinguished and different from the other which thereby presents a challenge before the organization. Organizations have to deal with the challenge of developing an effective workplace where the task between the subordinates and the manager is matched so that the values, behavior and personality of the individual contribute towards the common goal. The ideal situation in this regard will be one where the manager analyzes the different requirements of the tasks and based on it identifies the required personnel so that a team where member look to compliment each other can be developed. This will help to reduce the level of conflicts and will ensure that an environment where the organization is able to grow is prepared. In order to develop the required synergy through which the organization is able to grow will require a proper understanding of the individual behavior and personalities so that human cognition can be better understood. The entire process will facilitate in the development of an environment through which better opportunities for growth can be identified both on an individual and group basis. This paper thereby looks towards presenting the manner in which individual values and behavior will have an impact on the organization and the manner it will help to create positive energy within the organization. This will thereby facilitate in the better use of resources and will ensure that the goals of the organization are easily achieved. The fact that a workplace has people from different background, philosophies, culture and personalities it increases the difficulty level associated with working together. This will require proper cooperation, teamwork and creativity to be able to come together and work for a common purpose. The difference in personality will make people take different approaches while interacting with managers, employees, clients and others players working within the organization. The ability of the organization to understand the different underlying factors through which personality has an effect on the working culture will throw light on the manner the workers perform and will help to improve the understanding regarding the manner different people behave in the organization (John, 2010). Different theories and models have been developed which helps to understand the type of personality that the person has as it will help to understand the manner in which the person is able to react and mix with different people. One of the personality type indicators is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator which looks towards testing the person on different skills so that the manner in which the person thinks and reacts to different situations can be understood. This model helps to find out whether the person is extrovert or introvert, sensing or intuitive, thinking or feeling and judging or perceiving (Chatman and Karen 2004). The above stated personality trait has an effect on the manner the person behaves and brings about the required change in the behavior of the person for whom it has been tested. For example an extrovert sign would show that the person is more outgoing and will be thereby able to talk to new people and ensure that they remain social and develop the positive relationship within the organization. The opposite is the same in case of introvert. Sensing on the other hand will highlight that the person is more practical while intuitive shows that the person reacts based on intution and feelings. Similarly in the other way thinking personality will show that the decision taken is based on logic whereas in case of feeling personality the decisions are taken based on emotions. Judging personality demonstrates control in taking decisions whereas perceiving highlights spontaneous decisions. The different personality traits thereby highlight different behavior which will have a different impact on the manner the organization works. This will thereby require that the organization based on their requirements look towards choosing people with the correct personality traits so that it helps to create a positive impact and ensures that the employees compliment each other. This will thereby facilitate a positive environment and will help to ensure that the resources are directed in a positive manner. Another theory which looks towards throwing light and identifying the personality trait that the employee has is the Big Five Model. This model looks towards identifying the traits of the person to be as extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability and openness to experience. The fact that the model looks towards differentiating employees based on the different traits demonstrated by them it ensures that the organization looks towards hiring the correct employees. The most important trait out here is conscientiousness which helps to determine reliability of the employee and has a role in determining the manner in which the employee will be able to win the confidence of the management. The other factors are equally important and based on the requirements of the organization people belonging to the category are chosen (Barrick and Michael, 2001). For example extraversion is a trait which is most desirable in case of an organization looking for a sales person. Employees who have those traits will be able to influence the management towards them and will increase their chances of being selected as it will help to ensure that the organization will be well placed to achieve their goals and objectives. Apart from the different personality traits which has an influence on the organizational behavior personality attributes also influences the entire decision making. One such personality attribute which employees and others demonstrates is core self evaluation where the employee looks towards evaluating themselves and take control of the different situations and believe that they are capable of handling the situation themselves. This section of the employees demonstrates high self esteem and believes that they are capable of handling most complex situations. This category of employees also has different belief which has been termed as locus of control (McShane, Olekalns, & Travaglione, 2013). The internal locus of control in this personality traits believe that they control their own life and take decisions which are based on what they believe to be correct. External locus of control personality traits on the other hand look towards relying on external factors and look towards believing that success can be determined only due to external factors or external factors have a large role in shaping the performance (John, 2010). The different personality traits looks towards highlighting different aspect through which the organization looks towards achieving the long term objectives and looks towards identifying the different personality traits which is most determined by the business requirements. The different theories and personality traits thereby brings forward the different requirements and characteristics based on which the organization looks towards finding out their requirements. Personality has an effect on different factors like motivation, interpersonal relationship, work ethics, and self assessment which will thereby help to determine the manner in which the organization behavior gets affected and thereby has an impact on the manner the work is carried out. This will also have a positive impact on the organization and will thereby ensure that the goals of the business are better achieved. This will help to reduce the level of conflicts and will ensure that an environment where the organization is able to grow is prepared. In order to develop the required synergy through which the organization is able to grow will require a proper understanding of the individual behavior and personalities so that human cognition can be better understood The motivation level in the organization gets altered due to the different personality traits which have been demonstrated within the organization as a result of which the behavior gets altered. It is seen that people with creative personality look at workplace as a place where experiments can be made whereas communicator look towards discussing the different issues and look towards engaging in debates so that decisions can be taken based on it. In a similar manner people who demonstrate personality traits like compassionate focus look towards working for the society and looks towards improving the world so that it can become a better place to live in. This results in different factors which determine the manner in which the person will be influenced towards working for the goals. The different traits further results in ensuring that people get motivated by different things and organization look towards working on those factors so that the employee or the person becomes motivated towards the goal. This will thereby have an impact on the performance of the organization as the behavior of the organization will be molded towards something else and will result in major changes in the work values. Personalities and values further have an effect on the manner in which interpersonal relationship is developed within the organization. This can be seen from the Type A and Type B personality which due to the different traits demonstrated by them brings a change in the organizational behavior as their manner of developing relations is different. Type A personality look to be quick and tend to do things quickly which at times also results the person to be aggressive and angry. This people will find it difficult to develop proper relationship within the organization as due to their personality traits they will act in a manner which will make other people feel uncomfortable. Type B personality trait on the other hand is more relaxed in their approach and look towards understanding the feelings of others. They will thereby be able to handle the different situations in a far better way and will be able to transform the manner in which relationship is developed (Joyce, John and Glinow, 2002). Organizations look towards people of such caliber as they are able to contribute positively towards the goal of the organization and thereby able to bring the required changes through which better decisions are taken and the behavior of the people demonstrates positivity and long term future potential. The work culture, value and ethics also get affected due to the personality trait that the person is able to demonstrate. This will thereby have an influence on the workplace as organization will witness widespread changes in the manner the work is done. For example a person with personality traits which looks towards being fun loving and free wheeling will find it difficult to be able to achieve the desired goals within the deadline. This thereby has relevance for organization as the entire working scenario gets altered. This has a bearing on the values of the employees as organization that has employees with correct and high values are able to bring about widespread changes as they are able to transform their personality traits and ensure that the overall goal of the organization is better managed. This looks towards ensuring that the organization is able to bring the required change in the behavior and outlook which will thereby result in a change in which things are done. Values will thereby determine the manner in which people look towards self assessment as people with correct and appropriate look towards evaluating their performances. While looking to do so they ensure that they don’t look towards they remain ethical and look towards finding out the gaps and areas which has to be improved for the overall process and development of the organization. The different traits further results in ensuring that people get motivated by different things and organization look towards working on those factors so that the employee or the person becomes motivated towards the goal. This will thereby have an impact on the performance of the organization as the behavior of the organization will be molded towards something else and will result in major changes in the work values. Thus, the paper looks towards presenting the manner in which personality traits and values have a role in determining the behavior of the organization. It helps to determine the manner in which organization has to look towards hiring the people based on the personality traits required so that the employees compliment each other and doesn’t give rise to conflicts. This will help to develop the required positive relationship and will ensured that the organization will be better placed to achieve the goals in the most effective manner as the behavior will be molded towards common goals.
