Module Internship Evaluation What were your original and, if any, revised goals and plans for this internship? As I started my internship, I had three main goals to accomplish. The first was to apply my creative management skills learned in class in the organization. This happened through research of social media outlets that would assist in the promotion and presentation of new ideas within the company. I created measurable and realistic goals to help me accomplish everything I had planned. The second goal was to develop an understanding of the responsibilities and working conditions expected of me at the workplace.

This would entail accompanying a board member for close to two weeks under normal working conditions as a way of gaining experience through observation and participation. The second step was writing an analysis of the experience at the end of every week and review with a mediator for assistance. It would also increase my chances of making new friends in the workplace and as a way of meeting the immediate goals. The third goal was to improve and develop my networking skills so as to have as many connections as possible and learn new things that would assist in marketing of products and the company as a whole.

The first step involved making appointments with people from outside the company as a way of exercising networking skills. The second step was meeting supervisors and discussing networking opportunities within the company as a way of building interest from within. 2. What was your personal system for ensuring that you accomplished your goals? Describe it. Did it work? If it didnt, did you experiment with making it work? One thing I have always wanted is to run a company that has resources well distributed and people working towards the profitability of the organization regardless of their department.

When working at Mercedes, I was able to interact with people who were good at what they did. There was a chance of getting to see how things were done to ensure a company runs smoothly and handles any competition well. The future will only be better if I can meet the growing urge of being better at what I do. With the main goals in place as stated above, I realized that the only way of doing this was by working towards a platform that would boost my chances of getting the best from all those I interacted with at the organization.

I learned so many things regarding coordination of resources, monitoring of employees and the resources as well as calculating the large inventories within the organization. I have a personal drive to deal with the networking aspect of my career. This will require me to make better choices given the fact that I would communicate with so many clients at the company as well as gain enough experience to help me push myself beyond the limits. With managers ready to help me, I saw an opportunity to test my goals by implementing some of the ideas I had while working within the company.

The goal was to learn from them then execute some of the ideas on my own. I would present them to the managers and then ask for their input. This was the main mode of assistance that would allow me to create a good career. 3. How do you feel about the results you achieved? I am pleased with my results. I know I have a long way to go but being the first attempt, I was able to create a pathway that would direct me towards my goals. I can confidently say that I learned a lot from interacting with the managers at Mercedes Company and that helped me grow new skills that were previously unavailable.

The aim was to enhance my creativity in the utilization of social media while at the same time enhancing the goals of personal growth. 4. What do you believe explains (are the reasons for) the results you achieved? My results were good because I was willing to learn. I had the best team to work with and I knew I had to be open and eager to learning as they would teach me a lot by either direct or indirect means. When I accompanied the member of the board for a period of two weeks, I was able to learn a lot.

The enthusiasm I had from the very start was a trigger towards meeting all my goals within the internship period. 5. What if anything would you do differently? The only thing I would do more of is working in the social media section. I spent less time in the department, and I would be willing to spend more if given the chances. The skills I have regarding the creation of social networks are enough to boost my morale and give me an edge in the market. Prioritization will also be an important step towards accomplishing all my goals to completion.

Most of them were accomplished hurriedly, something that could change if I had set my priorities right. 6. What are the most important skills and knowledge you have gained during your internship, and how will they help you advance in your professional life? By working at the Mercedes Company, I was privileged to work under various individuals who sharpened my skills in various categories. I was able to analyze social media trends comfortably. I could easily allocate, monitor and forecast resources that would increase profitability in the company.

The internship also helped me gain skills in enhancing quality customer care and ensure faster service to all. I could verify data on inventories and identify the finance system chosen by a client to buy a car. These skills will boost my knowledge when I run my own company or get employment in another busy environment to dispense my skills. 7. How have your actions changed, if at all, as a result of the learning you got from your internship experience? I can now manage myself and meet my goals within a prescribed timeframe.

I have learned that the best way of doing things is by prioritizing them for the sake of getting more things done and achieving so much more. This will assist me in daily life as well as professional life because I can plan what to do and how to do it. Being a problem solver is another attribute I have learned during my internship, and I can now meet my goals by looking for solutions rather than waiting for someone else. 8. What about your internship has been different than you expected? The kind of assistance I got from the management and all employees from the company was overwhelming.

I was able to get assistance from people who I thought were my seniors and would expect me to have the knowledge readily available. Everyone was looking for a chance to help and that helped me learn so much and get corrected often to assist me build confidence and attain a better outlook on the things that would make me excel in my internship. I expected to get help from only a select few, but I was astounded by the fact that I had assistance from so many people who I did not think would have the time to do so.
