The purpose or the aim behind in doing or carrying out the job together with my studies is that it will provide me a nominal amount of earning which I can save for the future studies that I am going to pursue in the future and it will provide me a working experience while I am carrying out my studies and the place where I am working as a part time can offer me placement for full time job after the completion of my course on the basis of my working experience. Since I am already engaged in the part time job therefore I have gained the confidence in facing the interview which I will be required to face in the future for my progress and prosperity and it will facilitate me in the degree that is related to volunteering. Therefore I have made a planning to carry out the part time job together with my job which will keep me engaged and will provide me several exposures and benefit which is required for me to succeed in the future. But while carrying out my part time job together with my studies I have to encounter several constraints and obstacles since I have to manage my studies, submit my assignments on time and also perform my job effectively and efficiently since it is paying me for the job and time management was the main constraint for me. Since I am planning to carry out my studies further therefore I also have to focus on my studies and I am also engaged in the extracurricular activities and therefore I was supposed to dedicate some of my time in conducting and performing those activities too. Since I have fixed my objectives and I am determined to achieve them therefore I have planned all activities accordingly in such a way that no activities overlap each other I spent my morning hours in the University and in the evening I have engaged myself in the part time job and I prepare all my assignments of the university at night and during the days of my examination I take leave from my work. The skills that is developed by me in doing my part time job is that will increase the value of my employability as I am gaining experience together with my study and I can bear all expenditure related to my future studies and will improve my quality of work and will get a exposure of the corporate world in the future organization or the company that I will join after the completion of my course. The part time job has facilitated me in adapting to the organizational culture in the organization. In my course of action I had to face many challenges and obstacles in maintaining both the course of action as I have to perform both the activities effectively and efficiently since I have to attend my classes in University and also perform my part time job and the good thing that I have done is that I have taken a right decision ion doing apart time job along with my study and I have engaged myself in performing some fruitful activities and the bad thing that I have done is that I should have focused on the time management previously and would have balanced everything accordingly which would have assisted me in doing both the task effectively and efficiently . the way in which I can improve the duties or the decision that I have undertaken is by focusing on both the activities and fixing my goals and objectives and aiming towards the attainment of the goals and objectives that is fixed and established by me and now I have decided to take more initiative in my part time job in which I am engaged so that I can develop and improve my skill which will be fruitful for me in future course of time and as a result I can improve my efficiency. Task 7 Research proposal Management Question and research question The management question that is decided and selected by us for discussion is determining the extent of doing a part time job while studying in the university which will be beneficial and detrimental towards achieving of success. The main reason for us in considering the question as an important and significant topic or area of discussion because researches reveal that many of the students now days involved in various part time jobs together with their studies and the researches indicates that the students who have devoted much time in their job for example 25 to 30 hours are less involved in studies and the students are also focusing on various extracurricular activities as well as in various social and academic activities (McKay, 2008).. Figure 1: Percentage of working student The main reason why the students prefer working since it provides them a means for saving, it develops and builds a sense of confidence among the students and it will help them in getting a job quickly after the completion of the job or turn as a permanent employee in the organization they are associated with since they have gained experience from their part time job. The other four subsidiary question that is required to be discussed are how part time job would help us in getting better score in University, how the students relate the theory in the work place, why it is necessary for the students to do part time job, in what way the skill of the students who are working are superior as compared to the students who are not working. 1 Why do you prefer to carry out your job along with your studies? 2 What benefits do you gain from doing part time job? 3 How many hours do you spend on academic studying 4 What compelled you to take such decision? 5 What is your goal and objective? 6 What has influenced you to take such decision? 7 What obstacles are faced by you while managing both the task? 8 Which year of degree are you presently studying in 9 What experiences are you gaining from your job? 10 How do you relate the studies in your workplace? Our plans are to conduct the research by collecting both primary and secondary data and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis by visiting various universities and taking the working students as respondents in determining the significance and the reason why the students prefer part time jobs. Task 8 Literature Review The writer Heide, in his article has focused on the significance and the reason for the students engaging in the part time job and the writer has focused that research reveals that 40% of the management graduates are engaged in carrying out their management studies along with their job and the writer has also focused on the career changes of the student in which 55% of the students generally change their career and when the writer have found out that male working students are more in number as compared to the female working students. Carrying out the studies together with the job is not easy especially in case of the fulltime and part time job. The employment benefit that is provided to the working students generally vary according to the age, income, ethnicity and gender which has encouraged the students in carrying out their job along with their studies ( Heide, 2004). The author Gannon, in his study has focused on the research that is conducted that the students are now a day’s emphasizing on decreasing there credit hours in order to increase there working hours there is appositive impact of working on the students and if the students are capable of organizing their time and maintaining proper time management in order to make a proper balance between their work and study then it would be beneficial for them since the students who are engaged in working can improve and develop their skill and potential an d they can also improve their grade point average and the working students are much more advanced as compared to the traditional students. Part time employment by the student provides an opportunity to the students who are unable to pursue their future or higher studies. The author also emphasizes on the fact that it provides a source of earning for the student (Gannon, 2010). The researcher Tummons, in this paper has identified the significance that the working students can continue and progress in their study together with their part time and full time employment. This facilitates the student in applying the theory and the related study in their work place and the experience that is gained from their job can be applied in the job in future and the theories can also be applied in their workplace and also in home. The students who are working are benefitted more than the students who are not working and therefore it is favourable for the students who are working to improve their future. The students who are working generally realizes that there effort at the time of the examination is much more as compared to the non working students (Tummons, 2012). The analysis of the above research suggests that the students who are working generally have a positive effect on the work and the working students gain confidence and they get a medium of saving and they also have the opportunity of spending in their leisure activities. And it has been found that working along with their studies is beneficial for them as they can earn money which is considered as the vital factor and a sense of independence is developed among them and they can pay for pursuing higher degree and also in fulfilling their miscellaneous expenses and even the parents of the students and the teachers of the university they are pursuing their studies support the part time or the full time jobs that they are doing along with their studies and through the evaluation and verification of the research it has been analyzed that the number of working students are increasing and progressing along with the passage of time (Hammond, 2015). Task 9 Methodology and Ethics Test The Research methodology forms the basis of the research that is conducted. Data collection method has been used in this research and the data collection technique that has been applied mainly includes the secondary data, questionnaire, sampling and the interviews. The techniques adopted will assist the researcher in evaluating the benefits and the reason behind the students working along with carrying out the studies. Therefore it is required to interact directly with the respondents and also gather report from the secondary resources. This research is conducted with the respondents of 1000 students. Random sampling is used in this research (Moreau and Leathwood, 2006). In order to conduct the study a set of closed ended questions have been asked to the respondents.   Questions Yes No 1 Do you prefer to work along with your study?     2 Are you able to manage your time?     3 Are you currently working while pursuing your degree?     4 Will it benefit you in future?     5 Does it impacts on your grades?     6 Is your job associated with your degree?     Ethics Test Ethics generally plays an important and significant role in the conduct of the research the ethics test reveals that the respondents should not be compelled to answer the question according to the needs of the researcher and thus the respondents should be provided flexibility in providing their view. The ethical dimension is required to be considered in case of the secondary data which will assist us in the conduct of the research. Task 10 Individual Research Project Report Management Question The management question that have been chosen by us is that working students have more confidence as compared to the non working students and the research is done in which it reveals that the working students are independent and the increase in their confidence level assist them in facing the interview and getting placement in other organization (Tina, Jeff and Melanie, 2005). Research question The research questions that have been derived from the management question are that whether the working students doing part time job is beneficial for the students. Significant Findings The important findings that have been derived from the research is that the working students are benefitted in earning the amount of money which they can save for pursuing higher management studies and they can also spend money for the leisure activities, it will increase and develop their sense of confidence for facing the interviews and dealing with the people and have a exposure of the working environment and they become independent to fulfil their own desire (Tanjiana, 2010). The students can also apply the theories and other studies in their working environment and it also facilitates in grabbing the placement opportunities and even they parents of the working students support them and the teachers and the professors of the university support the working students and therefore it depends on the student in managing the time and balancing there course of action. But the main issue or the constraint that is faced by the working students is that they have to dedicate extra initiative during the time of examination as compared to the non working students and the number of male working students is more as compared to the female working students (Tina, Jeff and Melanie, 2005). Features The main feature of the questionnaire that is prepared and the respondents of the questionnaire are the working students both open ended and closed ended questions are asked to their respondents and the questions are asked on the basis of the fact that whether they are benefitted in carrying out their studies together with their part time and full time job and whether it will affect their grades in the examination and the reason for working along with their studies and the survey is conducted by visiting the universities and collecting there response and analyzing them (Afrin, 2010). Graphs or Tables The quantitative analysis that is conducted on the basis of the survey report can be analyzed as Figure 2: Survey Question The above analysis is based on the question that is asked to the students regarding the year of degree that they are presently studying. Figure 3: Quantitative analysis on academic studying The above graph is prepared on the basis of the question that is enquired or asked to the students or the respondents on the number of hours that is spend on academic studying by the working students. Qualitative data Qualitative analysis have also been conducted on the basis of the questions that whether the student have been engaged in job while pursuing the degree and whether the student is hunt of the part time job and this can be explained with the help of the graph. Figure 4: Is the student in search of job Figure 5: Are the student pursuing job. The other qualitative questions that are asked to the respondents mainly includes is the job is relevant to the degree of the student and whether practical experience is gained from the working which can be explained in support of the graph given below. Figure 6: Is the job related to degree Figure 7: Practical experience from the job The qualitative data collected for evaluating the significance and the importance of the students working along with their studies and their attitude and perception towards it. Conclusion The above research and analysis explains that the working students have the ability and the capacity to succeed in the future as they get well exposure of everything and they can carry out their higher studies or join god organization as they wish since the job experience have benefitted them in earning money, increasing their confidence and becoming independent. Task 11 General topic or problem The problem that is decided to work upon as part of the research is related to the topic that related to the finding of the extent to which having a part time job while studying at university is beneficial or detrimental to a business student’s ability to succeed. The topic is useful because now days it is seen that many students who are into their studies also have a part time job in which they are engaged. So a research on this topic would help the students understand their position. Research question The research questions that is proposed to be asked for the purpose of the research are How would having a part time job help the students in getting a better grade in their university? Ways in which students may apply the theories learned at the classrooms to the workplace? Is it necessary for the students to work while they study in order to pay the fees for their study? What are the extra skills that the student’s who work earns that is not available to the students who do not work? Scholarly literature The research focuses on literature review of different articles that does research on different aspects of part time job on the student’s life. One of the research on the literature focuses on literature by Carney, McNeish, and McColl. The researchers focus on the impact on health and academic aspect by students who work part time (Carney, McNeish and McColl, 2005). Another literature that the study hopes to incorporate is by Barron and Anastasiadou. The journal focuses on different aspects of student’s part time employment (Barron and Anastasiadou, 2009). Still another research paper that the study hopes to use is by Eberhardt and Moser. The journal focuses on the nature and consequences of part time work (Eberhardt and Moser, 2011). Research approach The research will follow both quantitative and qualitative lines. After analysis of the qualitative part in the form of literature review the research will involve questioning the students of the universities. The response of the students will be plotted in different graphs and analyzed to meet the research questions. Ethical issues or practical problems The practical issues that might be incorporates is the time required for the research. To make the research results valid there should be questionnaire of a large sample population and that will involve lot of time. There may be several students who might not wish to disclose several employability related information. References Afrin, E., 2010, Part-time jobs for students and an evaluation.
