Return to work program (Franz shipping Inc) Purpose This program is designated to cater for procedures and policies that are meant to manage injured workers who are returning to work. Policy These are the rules governing (Franz shipping Inc) providing for employees a recognized hazard free environment. This is to prevent serious physical or psychological harm that may occur to the employees of (Franz shipping Inc). We plan to commit employees to return to work while recovering. Scope All the employees of Franz shipping Inc are eligible to resume work in case of work related injury that will be implemented by the return to work following a work related injury by considering the criterion below. The injury sustained by the employee of (Franz shipping Inc) should be under the worker compensation legislation. The restrictions set to govern the employee by the physician are to be followed (specifically the employee should not work for more than 6 hours). The restrictions set for the injured are also to be for a limited time and not factors that are to be followed for the rest of the working period. Physical limitations on tasks related to work with the physician, should be within the skill and physical capacity, with accommodation accorded to the tasks by the employee who was injured. Duration limit of duty accommodation and responsibilities- the time, specially allocated to the return to work program should be not more than 90 days. Light tasks are to be allocated to the recovering employee and if the period allocated is not enough the case is to be forwarded to the risk management and the supervisor of the injured employee`s department. Compensation policy The return program will be accentuated with monetary compensation and the injured employee will earn a wage depending on the work performed by the returning employee. If the wages the employee earns are less than the wages they earn on normal circumstances, then the employee will be compensated in the absence of the modified return tasks. If the injured employee earns more than their normal wages, then they will continue doing the return duty tasks, then the wages will be reduced to the normal wages. This is to conserve human resource and financial. The injured employee is entitled to medical treatment from practitioners of their choice. The treating doctor interaction with the injured employee and the rest of the stakeholders like the case management: will need to be notified of the injury and the arrangement is the rehabilitation method, contacting the medical practitioners and negotiating with the management of lighter tasks with consultation of the rehabilitation providers. There is also need for an independent review for medical confirmation. Eligibility of the injured employee should be considered. This is to be done by the physician. Consultation is to be made by the supervisor on the types of restrictions to be incorporated in the assigning of light tasks to the employee, with specification to the transitional days till the return to initial employee customary position. Planning of light tasks is to be done by the supervisor in compliance to the specifications made by the physician to the disability manager to discuss and specify the kind of tasks to be done by the employee. The tasks are only to be assigned not to a regular position. Internal communication The issues pertaining to the injury of any Franz shipping Inc are to be handled internally by the Human resource and the claims office exclusively with consultation of the medical providers on the above expounded processes and procedures for the return to work program affecting the injured employee. Periodic progress reviews Notifications on return to work programs are to be made by the injured employees with obligations to hand in documents, which will be reviewed by the managers these documents are to be from the physician. Psychological progress is to be factored in; in the reviews this is to be given by the counselor assigned to the injured employee. Employees who are on temporary total disability leave need to report to the HR office documenting the place, time and the witness presence and the stating of the injury, the specificity of the part of the body and whether compensation was accorded to the employee. Then an examination is administered by the physician and the results should release the employee to return to full work status. Employees currently working light duty and have been reported to return to full duty should be evaluated by the counselors and the physician to ensure their wellness to return to duty. An inventory list for light duty jobs; security guard, perform assembly, safety inspection, sorting mail and delivering them, taking calls, making order supply, filing paperwork, shredding useless documents, updating the bulletin board and doing a normal job but with the specification to limitations labeling and wrapping goods for shipment. Regular duty jobs These are the jobs that full time employees undertake in their daily life; Overseeing shipping and receiving operations this is done by supervisors on a regular basis they also supervise freight procedures and processes and maintaining shipping areas. The job description of shipping supervisors, they are supposed to manage freighting and receiving team efficiency to ensure that deliveries are made on time in accordance with the orders. Ensuring that standards and policies are followed to the latter, addressing inquiries made by customers concerning our delivery processes and styles.
