It becomes very clear and easy for one to choose in the face of various options by having knowledge of the dominant traits of his personality.

My classical profile pattern turned out to be Creative and none the less it was much of a surprise as I had been told before by many people and peers that creativity was the highlight of my personality. By the help of DiSC assessment, I became aware of positive aspects of my personality through which I can improve my managerial skills and also the weaknesses i.e. which traits I lack or are my weak point which I need to improve and be cautious about while performing my daily tasks and job routine.

What greatly surprised me was the fact that through this assessment the result came out to be the same as well i.e. my classical profile pattern turned out to be Creative as well and when I read about its traits I could relate them to me and my professional work life. The description also helps me recognize my weaknesses and how to overcome those as well.

After taking the assessment and reviewing your scores and analysis, reflect on your value to an organization and develop a plan for building on your strengths. What changes will you make based on what you learned about yourself from the assessment and why?

Belonging to the Creative Pattern has boosted my confidence and has given an uplift to my poise. It assures that I can prove as a valuable asset for companies looking for innovative and out of the box ideas and solutions. Knowing that a creative mindset is free from constraints and bounds hence I would need a working environment that promotes my creativity and appreciates it.

Learning from my pattern few of my weaknesses that I neglected came under my observation as well which require my attention in order to overcome. Based on these learning’s it is vital for me to learn how to tackle them as the world moves at a rapid pace and a lot of competition is there which wait for any wrong move by another competitor so as to capitalize on their mistake.

I wasn’t such a strong supporter of evaluation instruments before but after taking DiSC assessment their importance became quite clear to me.

From a managerial point of view, this tool and many other evaluation tools can prove vital as they are important in highlighting both the strengths and weaknesses of the mangers at their jobs. Learning about these attributes managers can work to improve their own job and on the field performance.

Using DiSC as an assessment tool for employees can serve as a very helpful technique for earlier identification of factors that might cause an employee to create conflict.   By identification of such attributes in employees, a better and more coherent workforce can be formed which can work towards the fulfillment of the organization’s goal along with enhancing the performance of the other members in the team. (GUERCI, 2010)
