In the crashed network diagram, the crashed activities are highlighted in red, and the critical activities were rendered in bold arrows.Legend: AC = activity code; D = activity duration; ES = early start time; EF = early finish time; LS = late start time; LF = late finish time; TF = total float time; FF = free float time; CC = crash cost; CP = critical path; Shaded rows are data for the crashed activities.(2) There were two critical paths that emerged from the crashed schedule: those with notation 1 are activities that are part of the critical path A – B – C – T, while those with notation 2 are activities that are part of the critical path E – F – G – H – I –T.

The last activity T (Wedding) is shared by the two critical paths.Several complications arose during the course of trying to meet the deadline of April 21 for the Adams-Jackson wedding rehearsal. Because Mary Jackson was adamant about having the wedding on April 22 (as was Larry Adams, because he wanted her to be happy), the implications of each of these complications had to be assessed. Based on the 22-day schedule developed above, explain how Mary and Larry can address each issue and still have the wedding on April 21.

(Hint: You may want to draw a new activity diagram based on the 22-day schedule.)This development on Activity B (Church notice wait) will not affect the April 22 wedding ceremony target date, since the revised project scheduled based on crashing some activities did not consider the church notice period as one of the activities for crashing. In which case, please refer to Figure 2 (critical activities in bold arrows, crashed activities in red).To ensure that the wedding occurs on April 22, the family should see to it that Activity C (Decorate church) does not go beyond the targeted 3-day duration, since the activity path A-B-C-T is a critical path.

The rest of the other activities on the critical path should not also be delayed, since any delay in these activities would result in the delay of the wedding ceremony as planned. Since Activity B was not crashed, no action was taken and no additional cost is involved.
