These procedures and ways are important for the accomplishment of all tasks either domestic or official. The management of time, finance and other resources are important to successfully accomplish the tasks. Hence, the burden of success rests with the management techniques which incorporate proper utilization of all resources including financial and nonfinancial resources. One of the basic concepts in today’s environment is teamwork or group work. The coordination between the group members is also an important factor when it comes to the efficient and effective achievement of group goals. The task of a manager is to direct the group members towards a procedure that ensures the success of the group. Focusing our attention on the business field, it is not difficult to conclude that management in business is difficult in today’s diversified environment. It is more difficult and complex than ever, for the managers to manage the workforce keeping his focus on the group goals rather than individual goals or achievements. Hence, it has become important to study and adopt proper management concepts and theories that are applicable in a certain environment or business practice (Koontz & Weihrich, 1990).

The beginning of the modern management age is associated with the name of Frederick Taylor. The theory that is proposed by him is commonly known as Frederick Taylor’s Scientific Management. The scientific approach of management was designed with an aim to turn to ‘science’ and use it as a way out of the inefficiencies and biases that prevailed in the autocratic management of that period. One of the best principles of Taylor was his concept of splitting a complex job into various smaller subtasks and measure the performance and time of those subtasks for efficiency management. It is an important factor to consider that the propositions of Taylor proved their credibility from the economic point of view.
