The VNC technology is a high end product that uses computer monitored software, which has multiple graphic and information relaying ability over the existing old fashioned electronic display panel. Marshall Moreyne was the CEO of the business who found the new technology to be very efficient for public places. Small business management perspective of resource management and utilization is used in the case to describe key issues and recommendations for the same. The business of Telecite is a small business in terms of its resources as is evident from its financial reports and manpower strength.

The business had a 16 people team that included the CEO and receptionist too. The income statement of 1991 had a loss of 110,000 USD, but the significant growth was followed in the next two years which saw the immune from advertisement sales of 1178,000 (1992) and 1683,000 (1993). Whereas, the first two quarter of 1994 shows 1426,000 USD from advertisement sales. Again, the case suggests that the CEO was confident of the advertisement sales would increase by 15% each year. Here the advertisement sales is referred as this have the capacity to give the trends of growth the business may expect in the longer run, provided the strategies.

However, the problem statement lies in the gap between the strategized plans of 1991 which visualized such a growth, but the actual delay of the MUCTC’s project was delayed till mid 1997. This was a derailment of the previous plans for the business that expected to gain its finances stronger was given a brake. Thus the problem statement for the business was to choose the best of the strategic options among the few identified in the case. The strategic decisions for future should have enough arsenals to fight the strategies carefully which lets it overcome the financial challenges and grow thereupon in new markets.
