Topic: In relation to the case study provided, what can operators and/or the industry do to appeal to these six market segments? All six market segments hold their own importance and so the operators and industries need to ensure to cater to and motivate them to remain timeshare investors. Fans make up the largest and most potential ownership so it needs to be ensured that the ones looking to downsize their investment are persuaded to stay. For that, the operators should provide them special benefits and should keep innovating their holiday schemes so that Fans do not lose interest or get bored enough to sell their timeshare.

Moreover, since Vacationists are the segment which give positive response to promotion, marketing campaigns could be set up to attract them and ensure that they keep investing in timeshare. Advertisements and leaflets could be published to promote an innovative idea of transport facilities to solve their concern of “how to get to the destination.”Timeshare holders often fit in with a trade, and can "swap" their units yearly for an alternate goal around the world. Thus, such a trade could be a convincing method for Togetherers to change their view that “vacation ownership is not for every vacation.

” The same strategy could be applied to Experiencers as well to satisfy their desire to explore new places. Additionally, they could be introduced with new schemes which could make their desired holiday destinations affordable for them. For Strugglers, holiday packages inclusive of transportation, living etc could be introduced. However, Attritors need to be convinced to keep their interests by possible support schemes and need to be told that timeshare is actually a way to have cheaper vacations than normal.
