Starbucks: An Alex Poole Strategy Case Main idea of the case Following an analysis of the Starbucks case: An Alex Poole Strategy case it is evident that the Starbucks were having several difficulties they had to deal with, they took place in international operations and one of the problems they faced includes modes of handling method of entry, evaluation, political surrounding and business operations environment; that impaired the development and success of business activities in the countries.

The Starbucks applied several methods of entry such as joint ventures, permits, and supplements. Joint venture was the most applied method by the Starbucks. . Strategies applied by papa jones used and my opinion Setting up margins in terms of long-term rather than short term was one of the strategies they planned to incorporate in the organization. They were to look into the growth, expansion, and development of the business in the next like number of years. Setting up new branches and making new brands with the motive of improving customer satisfaction.. Application concepts of the case Partnership concept- Partnership is an effective mode in doing business.

Starbucks registered incredible success as a result of coming up with joint ventures with home retailers in every country. Employee’s training- for a business venture/organization to register tremendous success they have to hire qualified and trained employees. The Starbucks ensured that each employee hadundergone training. Overall effectiveness of the case and strategies The effectiveness of the case is to show how business can persevere through harsh market conditions and the various ways in which they can deal with market problems.
