Project sponsor
The Head of Marketing for this project should be the project sponsor because he is the one who has identified and introduced the project to the organization.

Project Manager’s Department
The project manager has the duty of planning and executing the project to its completion (Association for Project Management, 2009). The project manager for this project should come from the Production department because this is the department that will be charged with developing the final product.

Expected Results
At the end of the project, the organization expects to benefit hugely from increased revenues, new markets opened up, as well as laying the foundation for the development of other related products.

Project Charter
A project charter is a preliminary document showing the scope, objectives and project participants as well as outlining the roles of each project stakeholder (West, 2010).

What value will it add?
The Project Charter is very important to the organization as it will act as a reference of authority for further developments to the project in the future and aids in defining the responsibly of each person and the project objectives.

What problem will it solve?
It will assist in the management of the project to avoid misunderstandings and confusions with regard to the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders as well as guiding the direction of the project.

What are the ramifications for not doing it?
Without the project charter, the project is likely to fail due to conflicts that are likely to emerge when the interests of different stakeholders collide.
