Articles of Change Affiliation: Question Change is essentially an ongoing practice in the organizational setting. It shapes the short term and long term operations of an enterprise, subject to the set organizational goals and objectives. The article, Bridging Domains in Workplace Demography Research: A Review and Reconceptualization, by Aparna, Hui, and Hyuntak (2011), addresses change in relation to demography in the workplace. The rationale for change is informed by the diversity of workers in terms of their race and gender, where Wal-Mart and other prominent firms are highlighted. In the second article, Job Creation or Destruction? Labor Market Effects of Wal-Mart Expansion, by Basker (2008), the rationale for change entails trends in the labor market as Wal-Mart operations expand.
Question #2
Need for change is influenced by variant factors in the organizational setting. In Aparna, Hui, and Hyuntak’s text, streamlined employment laws and regulations act as the external pressure driving the underlying change. On the other hand, change in Basker’s text is driven by market forces in the labor market as business expansion creates job opportunities.
Question #3
In the contemporary times, globalization is increasingly becoming a critical pressure behind need for change. In the two publications presented above, this pressure is essentially in play. International linkages and relations have redesigned labor markets across the globe, and they have also influenced global demographics in the workplace (Leslie & Linda, 2012).
Question #4
The chosen publications exhibit both commonalities and differences. Both articles address trends in the labor market. While the first one focuses on workplace demography, the second one evaluates growth and development of the labor force subject to organizational expansion. Therefore, different approaches are employed to capture trends in labor demand and supply.
Question #5
Change in the organizational context is designed to enhance organizational performance. In this respect, an organization pursues change as it deems it necessary relative to the set organizational goals and objectives. Therefore, all organizational changes are legitimate, but what matters is their urgency.
Question #6
The urgency of organizational change is influenced by the actual operations that constitute the change. In the light of the chosen publications, changes regarding workplace demography are more urgent than shifts in labor demand and supply that are triggered by organizational expansion. This is because expansion plans can spread over a long period of time, within which workplace demography is accounted for all along.

...Response to Articles Response to Article 3 Economist Walter Williams Speech - Part Introduction Although the proposition of Williams in this introduction may be opposed by governments, it is relay a painful truth. I agree that free markets are more moral than governments because, indeed, the free market allows people to give something in exchange for another; whereas the government levies taxes compulsorily. People can keep producing more if they are given something in exchange of what they give. Response to the comment on article 1-3 I also find the part of government theft an interesting part, and I think it makes sense. Imagine a government taxing someone for producing maize, and...

Names such as Helen Lansdowne, Bernbach, Roger Ailes or Jack Vilinsky have always cropped up (Brenni, 2002). Jack predominantly stands out for me as the most remarkable since besides his obvious talent in producing advertisements, he was also a close family friend. Jack worked on numerous commercials and unforgettably changed the name Esso to become Exxon. My parents especially my mother discouraged me from joining the advertising business even as I expressed an inclination to professional writing. As good as, he was in...
