Issues are being raised as to the aftermath of the beer bust. It seems that the activity may result in some negative occurrences that may not be appropriate for the company. In the context of this case analysis, the following forms the basis of interest in the study of this case (Harvey & Brown, 2009).The management of the firm is evaluating the appropriateness of the beer bust in rewarding the employees. The leadership is assessing possible consequences of the activity to the employees, the company itself and the outside environment, given this social activity that is held in the company.

Decisions must be made on whether or not the beer bust activity should be maintained or scrapped. The problem here is to consider possible effects of whatever decision that is arrived at by the leadership team.The essence of business is to maximize profits while at the same time minimizing costs as much as possible. This activity makes use of the firm’s resources. How many resources are allocating for this purpose matters? This follows the fact that all the activities and decisions made by company management affect its overall performance in a way or another.

All the operations of the company are based on its established premises. The surrounding infrastructure is also a fundamental consideration to make. The company has put in place infrastructure for all its activities including the beer bust. The problem of allocating premises among all the operations of the company is a macro problem in that it determines its functionality and profitability. Infrastructure requires upgrading from time to time (Harvey & Brown, 2009).Hire employees to require to be trained accordingly given the doctrines that the company observes (Harvey & Brown, 2009).

Apart from academic qualifications and work experience, such a social activity requires prior information and planning. Observing the employees in the beer bust has proven that more needs to be done especially having the participants drink responsibly.The beer bust activity has been put in place in order to unite the employees. It has been thought to promote a team among them. However there posing risks in the context of this activity like the already mentioned accidents when driving home from work after the beer bust.

This is an internal issue that the company needs to address.The company lacks measures tailored towards monitoring the behavior of the participants of the beer bust. If such organizational processes are present, then they have been downplayed and the company needs to look into this internal problem.The causes of the micro and macro problems addressed above are:Ineffective or laxity in the leadership processThe poor spread of resources among the competing operations of the companyThe need to reward employees over and above their normal earningsImplementation of personal opinions without prior consultations and deliberationsOrganizational processes that seem to supersede the goal of production and profitability of the firmThe possible affected systems of the company include:The leadershipHuman capital and resource system of the companyDevelopment planning and expansion policies of the companyEmployee welfare outside the working environmentSocial corporate responsibilityThe company may consider evaluating other possible activities that may still hold the employees united, minimizing problems to the company and promoting their social welfare even more.

These alternatives may take the form of:Salary bonuses when profits are favorableEmployee-employer fun-day activitiesSocial meetings at designated days during work hoursEstablishing a unique trade union bound to the company
