The performance of the employee depends upon the the leadership strategy followed by the managers (Groves, 2006). It is also believed that leadership approaches adopted by the managers provides an opportunity to the employees to adapt successfully to the changing business environment. The successful implementation of the leadership approach helps largely in solving complex problems and removal of barriers (Evans, 2003). The report will highlight the important components of the case study and will relate it to leadership theories which contribute significantly to the achievements of the organizational outcome.

Apart from leadership theories, the strength and weakness of the leadership theories of the manager Kristy Flower would be discussed. Answer 1 Leadership Style & Impact of Kirsty Flower Leadership theories help in construction of a strong organizational structure, rectification of errors, removal of functional and non functional barriers etc. These theories address the fundamental and complex interpretation of problems Leadership theories are considered by the traditional theorists as a popular integrated approach which facilitate the smooth execution of business activities and also attainment of organizational goals.

The contemporary theorists have regarded these theories as instrumental in attainment of goals and also to possess calibre to inspire the followers. The modern day theorist believes that superior subordinate relationship is more successful than man- servant relationship (Erkutlu, 2008). The theories comprise several focuses on the attainment of the shared goals and objectives in an unified manner (A.G Canen and A. Canen, 2000). They also assist the employees in the creation of a business environment which would inspire the employees by offering them with non financial and financial motivators.

Financial motivators include the bonus, incentives, rewards etc. However, the contemporary theorists also believe that these theories would be able to perform the alignment of the organizational goals and their personal interests. In this case, leadership functions would enable Kirsty Flower and the employees to accomplish their own and organizational goals and also help in the formulation of strategies and organizational directions which are helpful in the increase in organizational outcome.

In this case, it is observed that Kirsty Flower had initiated the step of separating from Mr. Bakes for establishing their own bakery association known as Sandwich Factory. This shows that Kirsty Flower has leadership traits and characteristic which not only helped in the establishment of a separate entity but also the different components of business development. Leaders focusing more on relationship-oriented theories are more focused solving problems through proper managerial approach rather than the complete change of the existing system and procedures (Theimann, April and Blass, 2002).

As per this trait theory, two important and extraordinary elements like neuroticism and extraversion are significant contributors in the organizational development (Ogbonna and Harris, 2003). Extraversion theory focuses on sociability and the complete positive attitude of the managers of the organization (Ogbonna and Harris, 2003). The neuroticism theory lays emphasis on the emotional intelligence quotient and the removal of negative elements of the managers (Sadler, 2003).
