? The Strategic Context of Projects 18 May Introduction to the topic The project team management encompasses cooperation and coordination among the different teams. The research centers on the project team’s resolution of various issues. The research focuses on the ensuring the project team’s objectives must be line win the organization’s overall strategies. The project team management must favorably resolve all issues to gain overall organizational strategies. Body Strategic Issues facing a Project Team. There are many strategic issues facing a project team in the implementation of its initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling, and closing activities (Dismore, 2006;25). First, the project team must resolve schedule issue. The team must resolve when each phase of the entire project will be started. The same team should also determine when each phase of the project should stop. The team must decide which schedule should go first. Second, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve priorities issue. The project team should decide who will make the priority list. The same project team must decide which portion of the each phase should go first. The same project team must decide with which part of each phase must begin. The same team will decide which portion of each phase will start next. The project team will determine which portion of the entire phase will have third priority each phase of the entire project. Third, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve resources issue. The project team leader will decide which resources will be uses in each phase of the entire project. The same project team leader will decide which sources should not be included in the entire project. The project team leader will decide on the quality of the resources used during the entire project. Fourth, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve technical beliefs issue. Step one of the issue occurs when the team manger must immediately start with resolving the problem. By meeting the problem as the problem crops up, the side effects of the continuing problem will be reduced or eliminated. By prioritizing the problem solving process, the team will reduce tensions among the members of the entire project’s team members. Further, step two of the technical beliefs issue focuses on forcing the employees to implement the project team manager’s decisions. The manager must implement the best alternative in resolving the prior problem solving issue. The team manager should force the subordinates’ immediate compliance with management decisions, immediately and whole-heartedly. The manager must implement a win-win solution to resolve the current problem solving endeavor. Furthermore, step three of the same technical beliefs issue centers on the team manager compromising with the disgruntled subordinates. The in compromising, both management and subordinates will meet halfway. The meeting halfway step means giving up some of the parties’ original demands or requests. Reducing disgruntlement increases project team output. Fifth, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve administrative policies and process issue. The management should resolve new policies or current policies to improve the entities’ overall financial performance. Project team management explains the many benefits of implementing the new company policy and process. The same project team management should reduce resistance to administrative policies and processes by having a brainstorming session. All individuals are given free reign to give their comments, suggestions, disillusionment, and other inputs as a basis for problem solving issues. Sixth, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve the project cost issue. The team manager will get quotes from different suppliers. The project team managers will decide to buy the company’s requirements by electing the product or service offering the most reasonably cost. The project team manager must allocate funds for the purchase of quality products, with the cost issue not prioritized. Seventh, the project team, through its leader or manager, must resolve team member conflicts. Bullying at work should be resolved. Jealousy at work must be reduced. The leader or manager should diffuse the tension between team members by having a closed door reconciliation meeting between the two parties who are not in good speaking or working terms. Importance of Identifying a Project’s key stakeholders, Using an example from the UAE Context. It is important to identifying a team project’s key stakeholders. For example, Mary John O’Hair (2005;) emphasized schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) identify the entity’s main stakeholders as a basis for creating the project team members’ job responsibilities. The Educational project team member, teacher, must mold the main stakeholder, students, to become next leaders of any of the companies or industries within United Arab Emirates. In the same manner, the principal must maximize all its resources to ensure the United Arab Emirates school generates enough profits in order to generate enough dividends to pay one of its identified stakeholders, the investors of the United Arab Emirates school entity. The school project team must equip the United Arab Emirates students with the academic expertise required by the project team’s identified key stakeholder, the hiring companies of United Arab Emirates. In addition, the school must identify one of its key stakeholders as employees. The school project team will grant reasonable wages to its employees in order to persuade them to give their best on each school team project activity. The school must identity one of its stakeholders to the current and future students’ parents. The school will explain to the parents the many advantages of enrolling their child in the school. The school project team will invest funds to improve the school’s facilities. The facilities include the library; air conditioned classrooms, study area, research laboratory, sports room, and other necessary school equipments. For emphasis, the reference section will show links to videos representing education strategic project team management in United Arab Emirates. Explanation how projects serve as the building blocks in the design and execution of organizational strategies. The team projects serve as building blocks in the design and execution of organizational strategies (Frame, 1999). The library team project focuses on purchasing the relevant books and processing the borrowing and maintenance of the library’s book collection. The physical education team project focuses on ensuring all necessary equipments are installed, maintained, and repaired in the physical education facilities. The faculty project team focuses on training the teachers to use the latest school equipment, computers, power point presentation equipment, gym equipment, laboratory facilities, etc. in the exercise of their daily teaching activities. Project’s Objectives should be integrated with an Organization’s Strategies. Michael Thomsett ( 2002) reiterated each project’s objective should be integrated with an organization’s strategies. The library project team’s objective to fill its shelves with the latest relevant books needed by the students and faculty is integrated with the school organization’s strategies to increase its enrollment database. Likewise, the school physical education facilities project team’s objective to fill its physical education facilities with the latest sports and other gym equipments is integrated with the school organization’s strategies to increase its enrollment database. The faculty project team’s objective to hire and train the teachers to deliver quality education to the students is integrated with the school organization’s strategies to increase its enrollment database. Recommendations and Conclusions. Based on the above discussion, the project team management entails synergy among the different project teams. The project team should resolve all issues favorably. The project team’s objectives must be line win the organization’s overall strategies. It is highly recommended that the project team must resolve all issues with finesse. It is highly recommended that the project team’s objectives must contribute to the accomplishment of the entity’s overall strategies. Indeed, the project team management must resolve all issues favorably to achieve overall organizational strategies, including generating profits. REFERENCES: Dismore, P. (2006).
