McDonalds Total Quality Management McDonalds is one of the largest food chains. It is present all over the world delivering the same high quality everywhere it is found. Customers expect high quality, hygienic and fast delivery of foods that they order at McDonalds. McDonalds is a brand that is positioned on high quality and quick service food, and consumers over the years have come to expect same from McDonalds. There are lots of operational procedures and sets of rules and regulations that McDonalds have specified for its employees and order servers to make sure that the food that is served is not only of high quality, but it is delivered quickly as soon as it is ordered.
McDonald achieves this having specialized and equipment and chefs trained from McDonalds own universities that meet the quality expectation of its clients. McDonald uses total quality management approach as the raw materials and processed items are checked at each stage of production and they are also checked at the time of packaging and servicing so that only the high quality products reach the customers. Procurement also falls under TQM approach as specialists buyers develop organizational relationship not just with McDonalds suppliers, but also with its second-tier suppliers to make sure that the raw material that reaches McDonalds is of very high quality and high quality products are prepared using this material.
The systems and approaches adopted by McDonalds are unique and without them McDonalds cannot deliver the same quality all over the world.
