Veolia Water: Background VWater, previously known as Vivendi Water, is an operating unit of Veolia Environment (group), a leading provider of integrated environmental services in the entire world (GWI, 2013b). It is headquartered in France, which remains one of its most important markets.

Along with water, VGroup consists of Veolia Environmental Services, which provides waste management services to municipal and industrial clients; and, Dalkia, which focuses on energy services. group – through these three divisions – has at least 2,500 subsidiaries operating in more than 75 countries (Veolia Environment, 2013a).
