Application Essay I am eager to join the Norwegian School of Economics because of a large number of reasons. The very first reason that attracts me towards NHH is its leading position and proven excellence in economics and business administration education. Evidently, studying at such a renowned institution will help me gain the latest of the latest in the field of my study. The second important factor is the vibrant array of alumni who hold very important positions in world business and politics.

Helge Lund, the CEO of Statoil-the largest offshore oil and Gas Company in the world- is one such eminent figure. Another important person is Jon Fredrik Baksaas, the CEO of one of the largest phone operators in the world; Telenor. Admittedly, exposure to such an atmosphere will give me the very latest right from the workplace. That means, I will be able to horn my knowledge and skills to get employment in world renowned companies. Also, the certification from this renowned institution will be valued everywhere in the world.

The factor that attracts me towards the Cardiff University is the high quality research-based education it provides. Moreover, this university is considered as one of the best universities in the world. Yet another vital factor in this case is the unique campus atmosphere Cardiff offers. It has a vibrant campus with students from various cultures and ethnic groups. As a result, for someone who wants to join the international firms, the best place to get started with a multinational population is the Cardiff University with a mixture of international students.

Admittedly, the research based education at this university is famous for its excellence. To illustrate, the Research Assessment Exercise of 2008 found that most of the researches at Cardiff University are of excellent quality. Thus, joining Cardiff University as a part of this exchange programme is a wise decision. The third university of my consideration is University of Nottingham. This university is renowned for its educational excellence with a large number of world famous people as its former students.

Its former students have secured two Nobel Prizes in economics and medicine. Also, Rolls-Royce and GlaxoSmithKline CEOs had their education from University of Nottingham. Admittedly, the university has been ranked as one of the best universities in the world. There are many more honours the university has received. To illustrate, it was selected as the most environmentally sustainable campus in the year 2011 by the Green Metric rankings from the University of Indonesia. Also, the excellent faculty and infrastructure of the university deserve special recognition.

The university has highly experienced faculty, and this will be highly helpful for any student who wants to study there. In addition is the great infrastructure the university provides, including a great array of online and printed materials that will assist me in my studies. Lastly, the university is famous for the great opportunities of leisure and extracurricular activities. Thus, by joining this university, I will be able to combine both study and leisure in a perfect balance. With the time I spend in the University of Nottingham, I will be able to develop both educational and personal skills to succeed in the workplace.

Here, I cannot ignore the chances of personal growth associated with a life in Norway and UK. It is a known fact that Norway has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Admittedly, it will be a fascinating experience to experience the life there. Also, I get a chance to learn about new cultures and new languages. In addition, it will help me develop personal qualities like cooperation, tolerance, and patience. Lastly, as I mingle with many people from various parts of the world, there will be significant improvement in my communication skills and confidence.

This, as I complete my education, will help me function well in any international organisation anywhere in the world.
