Russia strongly focuses on effective social, economic, political and environmental policy development in order to maintain the constant sustainable growth rate of the country. In addition to this, the country has significantly improved business environment through the development of unique domestic and foreign policies. The government of Russia effectively follows the traditional political structure and charismatic leadership style to increase the rate of sustainable development for a long time period. However, this essay will discuss about the adopted and developed strategies by the government of Russia in order to attain the sustainable growth rate. Therefore, it is highly important for the government of Russia to ensure effective natural and business operation resources in order to increase the degree of interdependence of the country. The country follows socialist ideology. It has helped the country to maintain the sustainability in the lives of citizens of Russia. On the other hand, the government of Russia also has developed different types of strict sustainable business operation policies for the organizations in order to maintain sustainability in the economic and social growth rate of the country. Environment sustainability has become one of the major concerns for the countries around the globe. It is true that several organizations in Russia have to follow the developed rules and regulations developed by the government (Scott 41). On the other hand, the government has ensured availability and sourcing of natural resources in order to maintain the environmental sustainability in the country. Each and every individual within the country has to ensure environmental sustainability according to the developed act by the Russian Federation. The government of Russia always tries to motivate support the business organizations to maintain sustainability in the business operation processes. However, it is true that several organizations try to avoid the developed legislations in order to maximize the profit. But, in several times strong scrutiny of business operation activities and business performances of organizations by the government of Russia helps the country to maintain the effective environmental sustainability within the country (Palvova 21). The progress of Russia has occurred historically on the same lines of the developed countries on the western economies that have helped them to attain sustainable development. The political and economic development of Russia has been important for the development of the country over the years. Russia has evolved as a secular state. This has meant that the Russian has been able to attain freedom from the lessons of the church and has taken independent decisions for their progress. The rule of the state has provided independence to the people and they have enjoyed a higher degree of human rights. Russia has evolved as a welfare state over the years. The adoption of policies of welfare in Russia has looked after the provision of minimum education, healthcare services, social insurance, administration and control of the public. In the age of modernization, several countries have adopted economic reforms in order to attain the benefits of globalization. However, the alignment to the western culture and the import of foreign technologies have brought about the decline of the traditional culture of the countries with the passage of time (Pearce, Barbier. and Markandya 84). In case of Russia, it has been observed that the traditional culture and the political motives of the government have ran well and hand-in-hand with the values for humanity and the environment even though steps have been taken for growth of industrialization, modernization and globalization. This has ensured that the environment of justice and equality has prevailed in the Russian communities with equal rights for all the citizens of the country. The policies have been laid in such a fashion by the political parties in Russia such that the people of various income groups, various classes of the society are able to attain the economic benefits of the policies. The political parties in Russia have laid significant importance to the aspect of sustainable of sustainable development and have laid down policies that balance the growth of the country as well as take care of the common masses. The communist party of the Russian federation have also endorsed the concept of sustainable development and made sure that they undertake adequate planning and forecasting for implementation of polices aimed at optimal distribution of wealth in the economy. The equal distribution of wealth in the economy has enabled the governments to ensure social justice and equity for the people of Russia. The concept of sustainable development for Russia emerges in 1996 when people became aware of the outlook of the political parties and their concerns over continuing the historic growth of their culture. The political parties acknowledged the need of sustainable growth of the economic parameters of Russia in order to be able to sustain its comparative advantage in the international trade. The political parties in Russia recognized that the tool for sustainable development in the country is the growth of its economy in being able to produce high level of outputs and cater to the growing demands in the international platform. The major factor that has been focused for achieving the desired economic growth in a sustainable manner is the use of the large reservoir of human resources available in Russia. The governments have laid down the policies for ensuring that the rich pool of human resources are deployed at the required level in order to increase the volumes of production. In order to reduce the possible drainage of the human resources, the wage rates have also been fixed at competitive rates. The infrastructures for investments have been laid down by the government in order to ensure the sustainability of trade and commerce. In order to enrich the quality of human resource, the welfare of the people of Russia has been ensured through provisions of minimum level of education, healthcare, employment, social security and improvement of the overall quality of life (Rogers, Jalal and Boyd 62). The increase in the level of education has prepared higher section of the manpower resources for work and they could undertake activities of production in the economy. The people of Russia have also been provided with medical facilities and healthcare benefits for their families that have provided the Russians social security. The engagement of large number of human resources has been due to the increase in the employment opportunities. This also resulted in financial security as the income level of the people increased. The Russian economy has observed a sustainable growth of liquidity. The increase in liquidity has led to the increase in demand in the markets for which the production volumes enhanced. The gross domestic product of the Russian economy was able to grow in a sustainable manner. The sustainable development of Russia has also faced obstacles in the path of its development. One of the main factors for sustainable development of the countries is the reduction of the birth rate. Russia is the ninth largest country in terms of population. The people of the country do not readily accept the idea of the reduction of birth rate. This policy implementation is, therefore, not supported by the consensus of the Russian people. Secondly, the people of Russia are not active contributors or participators to political movements. These passive natures of the people towards politics have not been able to influence the opinion and the policies of the government in Russia. The general belief of the people of Russia follows the trend of attaining stability and conservatism in everyday life. The introduction of policies for import of new technologies, new reforms raise suspicion among the people of any threat that may potentially affect the stability of regular livelihood. The people of Russia have not been able to participate in the process of decision making that have been mainly dominated by the political parties. The number of active voters of Russia has decreased over the years and political parties have enjoyed the freedom to dominate the sphere of policymaking in the progress of the Russian economy over the years (Dalal-Clayton, Bass and United Nations Development Programme 48). Conclusion The review of the political, social, economic and environmental conditions of Russia over the years reveals that the political parties in Russia have not been affected in their decision making due to the absence of strong interests of the people and their passive role in the political vision of the country. This laid the entire national platform to the political parties for implementation of the strategies for sustainable development. This has laid emphasis on the role of the political parties for framing national policies that are aimed towards welfare of the people and also towards the development of the Russian economy. This has increased the scope of analysis for the readers to introspect whether the rate of sustainable development of Russia could be more effective in case of wholesome involvement of the civil societies and the non-governmental organization in the development process. The overall framework for sustainable development indicates that Russia has been able to establish proper infrastructure and the legal system for development of the communities and the environment. The political parties have been able to maintain a balance between the traditional and humanitarian values and at the same time achieve rapid economic development. The measures for reduction of birth rate have been taken by the governments. The economic activities have been undertaken in such a fashion that it does not have negative impacts on the environment.
