New technologies have revolutionized the economy, brought structural changes and accelerated rate of growth productivity. It brings in changes to industry and occupation, commenced globalization, changed the nature of competition and introduced economic dynamism. These changes bring in new attitudes in addition to cognitive, behavior, and affective attitudes we already know. (Social Psychology) The evolution of the United States into a technology-based economy took place in the 1990s due to the developments of telecommunications, internet and computers.

The introduction of new technologies had replaced many manufacturing processes done in the 1930s. Under the present economy, new industries are introduced, jobs are created, wages and income increase and skills are honed. New industries give new jobs, new technologies and provide new ways or organizing works that have changed work patterns in many existing jobs. As business becomes high tech, goods and services are more innovative and production grows to be flexible, the attitude of people becomes to be more conscious of efficiency and productivity.
