He starts by asserting that people are deceived by senses. After this he confirms why some men err in their thinking. He later rejects presentation as it has several errors. He goes on to state that any philosophical argument that has no doubt is a principle. During his explorations, Descartes expresses his opinions about imperfection which he regards to be inherent among human beings. He later discuses the amazements for human’s ability to think about perfection. He compares the perfect thinking with the people living in the imperfect world.

At this point I realized that Descartes was moving towards a different discovery. This discovery had not been thought of in the initial stage. Therefore, this experiment loses its course at this juncture. Therefore, according to Descartes the ability of humans understanding perfection and realize that they are imperfect, actually proves the fact that God exists. He thus clarifies the conclusion in a different way as compared to the intention of the introduction. He asserts that human mind cannot be in a position to understand perfection if at all this notion had been placed by higher being.

Thus, from his conclusion, we can state that the notion of perfection by imperfect beings proves the existence of a perfect being that is higher in rank than humanity. In this discourse, I would not be convinced fully by notion that God exists from the mere argument. Descartes uses very circular reasons which are just based on the mind. In my opinion, the ability to for one to visualize a perfect thing cannot actually prove its existence. For instance, I can start to visualize a perfect flower and later make its fair representation in an artistic manner.

Actually, this does not change the imaginary flower to become real. As human beings we possess the gift of imagining dreaming more sophiscated things that we cannot achieve. This also does not prove that our imaginations are real. In my own opinion, I would relate this to an egg versus chicken scenario which cannot be answered fully. The method used by Descartes offers a more definitive conclusion about certain topics. For instance, the existence of God and his existence. However, Descartes reasoning does not have any error.

Descartes uses three arguments in proving existence; God’s and his. Through these arguments, he has tried to solidify his conclusion. To make his method function is a seamless manner, Descartes has to be consistent in the method use. He has to show continuity in doubt and in challenging thoughts which originate from his mind. Thus, he has failed to achieve the state of mind. More so, his proofs have several errors thus faulty. Descartes establishes his position through ideas and reasons which lead him in formulating the method.

Thereafter, he observes architecture and notes the way building designed by numerous architects. He further extrapolates this into law, which asserts that those people who are designed by are superior to those who are designed by many. He takes God to be the one who is the source of law. Therefore, to substantiate this believe, he has to prove that God does not just exist but he exists in an independent mind of Descartes. Therefore, the desire for Descartes to outline a proof about God’s existence forces him to apply the skeptical method.
