Drugs, alcohol, size of the vehicle and age of the driver are very important when he begins to learn to drive. Learning and practice play a vital role in the lives of those who are beginning to take the car on the road and drive it. If one is under the influence of drink, drugs while driving one is sure to meet with an accident. It’s prone to fatal injury or death. If the car weighs a lot and is not manageable and not controlled by the driver, then an accident is most likely to occur. Tender age adds fuel to the whole situation in which the car is driven in a peremptory manner of negligence.

Queenslanders of Australia face similar episodes on the road. A survey has been conducted to show young people from 17 to 21 years of age to be at a mortality risk of death in crashes on roads. The premier of Queensland Australia has considered the statistics of people in the same group to be at the highest rate of mortality risk on road. The solution to the problem which seems prolific to him is to raise the legal driving age to 21 years. Being a police officer in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, I will investigate the matter with regard to the response of community and justice to the change of legal driving age.

As stated in the fact sheet; learner license changes. ‘’ young and inexperienced drivers are Queensland’s most at-risk road user groups and are twice as likely to be involved in fatal crashes than drivers aged between 25-59. To reduce these risks the government is introducing changes to the licensing system” Changes in the license system include various requirements to be fulfilled by both the driver and the supervisor. The first step is to raise the legal age of driving up to 21 years.

This doctrine supports other provisions and acts which address the same issue.
