Comparing United Kingdom Common Law and with France and United s’ Law al Affiliation Explanation of The Canadian Model From the Canadian Department of Justice (2015), the confederation of Canada constitutes of territories and provinces under only one criminal code and criminal law. In all the territories and provinces, a uniform federal law is governs matters of immigration and bankruptcy among others. Additionally, only Quebec is not governed by the British Common Law since it falls under the French-oriented Civil Law System.

Like the United States, Canada’s top most courts is the Supreme Court of Canada responsible for declaring binding decisions that are only subject to the constitution and the parliament and whose decision overrules any private or public law in the land. Despite the presence of an autonomous judicial system, judges are government appointed and not elected (Crown Copyright, 2013). Discuss how other legal systems may offer up a better plan of adjudication Unlike in Canada, French Sovereignty is subject to the judiciary, which is administered by the Ministry of Justice or the Chancellerie under the management of the Minister for Justice (Ministere de la Justice, 2013).

Furthermore, national laws and regulations are drawn and oversight of the ministry of justice and not parliament and the constitution, thus eliminating political approach to judicial matters. The American System is not the best compared to the United Kingdom The United Kingdom’s Common Law System is the best for many reasons. , the scattered constitutional provisions in numerous acts of parliament are easily modifiable through the court case decision while the American constitution is unchangeable (Roger Darlington, 2014).

For instance, no successful amendment regarding Equal Rights has been successful while only a simple majority is needed the British Constitution. Additionally, British politics, never involve declaring opponent’s actions as unconstitutional like the Americans do. References Crown Copyright. (2013). Ministry of Justice.
